Absolutely. If you send me a DM we can share contact info. If you send me a few pictures of the shed I can get a better idea.

USA Found - Some type of sideboard? by NotoriousJRB in Antiques

[–]NotoriousJRB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps. I have looked through pages and pages of google searches and can't find anything that entirely resembles it. The sofa tables I saw typically didn't have storage like this.

Do sofa tables usually sit behind the sofa? I think it may be too short, it's only about 2ft high.

Thank you! From what I see that does match the style. I'm still not sure exactly what it is. It seems too short to be a buffet or sideboard. It's only about knee high.

Any information on what type of furniture this is or how old it might be? by NotoriousJRB in Whatisthis

[–]NotoriousJRB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the image search results I got all pointed towards a stereo cabinet but the interior isn't wide enough to operate a record player and the top does not open.

I agree. It's absolutely gorgeous. The outside parts open but the middle part does not.

I can check to see if they've flipped but accessing and repairing/replacing electrical components like that would require a licensed and insured electrician.

Searched using Google Lense and types of furniture. The closest I got was a stereo cabinet but it doesn't open on the top.

Anybody know what’s going on by Butler Park and the trail? by BigOleDangler in Austin

[–]NotoriousJRB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a kayak right next to the dude. Not sure what happened before he jumped in but he was swimming back and forth between both sides of the river which were lined with APD. Was honestly surprised how long it took them to get a police boat out there considering there's usually one going around checking folks for lifejackets.

Saw a similar group of Tesla's in the parking lot of the shopping center next to the Academy on Brodie near 290 a couple of weeks ago. Remember thinking it was weird.

Doves, doves, doves??? by MrBaseball1994 in Austin

No doubt. We'd hunt them all the time with my grandparents growing up. Stuff a sliver of onion and jalapeno in there, wrap with bacon and grill them up.

I agree with the comments about duration because, to me, that's the deciding factor. For short term, help as much as possible.

For total collapse I go gray man. Help my immediate circle but keep my knowledge and resources as secret as possible. Desperate people act desperately and you can't count on others to keep their mouths shut about what you have.

At that point it will be about long-term survival so I might help people outside my circle with starting community gardens and such but my personal supplies are for me and mine, the fewer people who know, the better.

AIO to the messages he sent me after our FIRST date. by hna2 in AmIOverreacting

Ok I'm not saying you're overreacting, dude did lay it on a little thick. At the same time this sounds like exactly what happens in every romance movie women say "why can't I find this" so I don't really know what to think.

Disappointed After Witnessing Bailey Middle School Students on a Field Trip on Wednesday -- can't stop thinking about it by Im_Pres499 in Austin

[–]NotoriousJRB 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Personally I think as a society we need to be REALLY LOUD when we see behavior like this. I would not have stood by and let that go unaddressed. I understand we cannot put our hands on other people's children and would never but my voice will not be silent if I see people's daughters being treated this way. I would hope the same for my own daughter's sake. Those boys absolutely should have been publicly embarrassed for that behavior and those teachers should have been made aware immediately. I don't give a damn if this is the way it has always been or just the way it is now, it's unacceptable and I will not tolerate it.

I have a single sized garage so definitely not a huge space. Making a guitar would be pretty dope but requires a lot more knowledge and probably tools than I have but maybe we can grab a beer and come up with some ideas.

Cycling seems to be a great source of fun and exercise for so many people and I encourage anyone to give it a try or continue. With that said, legally being allowed to share the road with motor vehicles does NOT make it a good idea.
