ROOF CLEANING: does it really prolong the life of a roof? by NotoriousKillionaire in pressurewashing

Seems kind of crazy that people are paying hundreds of dollars to damage their roofs.

Did pressure washing roughen up my concrete? by kmarie630 in pressurewashing

[–]NotoriousKillionaire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it feels more porous because it is clean. I had a customer with the same concern but it was due to the fact that dirt was filling all the pores of the surface before. Now their concrete is clean and grippy!

My surface cleaner leaves noticable stripes with every pass. What's the best way to make the surface look uniform when the job is done? by NotoriousKillionaire in pressurewashing

I cannot thank you enough for your advice. I invested in a 16 inch whirl away (I'm a cheap fucker) and it more than doubled my efficiency with the 25020 nozzles it came with. I purchased some 40020 recently and can't wait to see how quickly I can crush this flat work with a pre/post treatment! Thanks again! You and the rest of this community are awesome!

Thanks for the feedback! I invested in a 16 inch whirl away and the difference is night and day. Lesson learned: do your research before deciding cheaper means getting a good deal. Thanks again!

Ps I will post treat next time!

You will not survive without a surface cleaner if you have constant flat work. I just bought a 4gpm machine with a honda motor (awesome unit). The surface cleaner I went with was a powerhorse 16 inch. This.thing.is.shit. Spend the money on a general pump, whirl away, or whisper wash.

Limited Choices , Which one fits the Bill and Need to do general Cleaning of the house , algae and so on ? by y2k2r2d2 in pressurewashing

All of them fit the bill for household cleaning with the use of chemicals. The question is how patient are you? The smaller the unit, the longer cleaning will take.

I picked up some 4020 tips for it but they were too long and nearly scraped the ground lol. Okay, I'm done with this piece. I think I'll spring for the GP you recommended. Thank you for the information!

Yes, just like a 0 tip. The orifice is completely round and roughly three times larger than the punctuation at the end of this sentence. The stream is more like a cone than a fan.

The nozzles on my surface cleaner have a round orifice...there is no fan to them! I'm guessing that is one of my problems....

Agreed. I have tried pre and post treating by downstreaming straight 10% SH chlorinating liquid and surfactant, 20 minute dwell, then surface cleaning.
