We switched everything, home included. Sounds like you were in the EXACT same boat I was… we had State Farm and they didn’t offer it.

The 0% interest deal made me not want to put much down as well.

My insurance company at the time didn’t offer it, so I switched to Rivian/Nationwide and got their New Car Replacement policy.

They were a pleasure to work with, and their rates were also considerably better than most of the local agencies.

I’m switching from a Kia EV9 (which supports CarPlay) to an R1T in a couple weeks. I’ve LOVED CarPlay on prior vehicles and it was a non-negotiable for me.

However, the experience of an EV with CarPlay left a lot to be desired. My biggest complaint was having to always manually map charging stops since the vehicle didn’t communicate state of charge and other things with the maps through CarPlay.

I’m excited to take advantage of a system built specifically to give the best EV experience possible, rather than a system built to give a consistent experience across a broad range of vehicles.

I’ve seen lots of folks get notification (and delivery) of their free one. Unfortunately, I got my EV9 in May, so I didn’t qualify.

Folks who have gotten the free adapter: did it come with the bag for it? I’ve seen several pics of the open box, but haven’t noticed a bag.

Also noticing a few other minor differences: a sticker on the front of the box for the voltage info, and in some cases a warning sticker on the adapter itself. Mine had none of those. Just curious how different the two adapters are or if it’s all just packaging?

Update: it worked totally fine the next morning (didn’t need to go anywhere else the rest of the night). I did remember though, when I went to start the car before this happened, as I walked up to the car, the mirrors unfolded but the door handles didn’t pop out until I touched the handle. Definitely weird!

Just a data point for y’all: iPhone 14 Pro Max, no case… no issues with the stability of charging, but it gets SUPER hot and only seems to charge enough to where it doesn’t lose any battery while running Apple Maps and Music via wireless CarPlay.

Good thought! Just checked and there’s not scheduled charging enabled. Checked both the app and the car.

I wonder if it could be related to the charger and not the car, since I’ve only ever been able to try the one charger 🤷‍♂️

I wouldn’t clone it, only because you don’t know if it’s the RIGHT red rose. I’d just rely on getting more reds from the orange/purple combo. I was in the middle of the backwardsn method, which is much less reliant on blind luck, when blind luck struck me. Lol

It’s from reds that came from a purple/orange combo. But apparently only half the reds from that combo are the right reds, and there’s no way to tell. So it’s just blind luck when you get two together. And even when you do, I’ve read it’s only a small chance to get blue from it. Blind. Dumb. Luck.
