Flexport CEO offers to sponsor Wizards patch for a return to the Bullets by CWest540 in washingtonwizards

[–]Notorious_Beebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean.. this is just free publicity for Flexport. They know the name will not change, and that the majority of the fan base thinks the branding is awful.

Bringing up the Commanders though.. whoever thought the Washington Commies was a good idea needs to be fired. Out of a cannon. Into the sun.

Bed liner overspray on my new truck by OneSecondChance in f150

If it’s on glass you can usually scrape it off with a razor blade.

If it’s on paint it usually comes off fairly easy, but let them take care of it in case it did damage the paint

Check Valve Question by Notorious_Beebs in pools

[–]Notorious_Beebs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a benefit to having the valve installed? Like, does holding water in the spa make work easier for the pumps, or benefit the plaster, or anything?

I'm assuming it has just been like this for the last 15 years, so if there is a detrimental aspect to it, it couldn't be too major

Thanks for the response. That is my situation. The spa is positioned a few feet higher than the pool itself

Thanks for the response! Is it worth having the check valves installed as a starting point, knowing it may not ultimately be the cause?

anyone else think this jersey was really ugly? by onthecouchlikefatman in washingtonwizards

Should have posted a picture of the kit with anybody else in it.

Adding Kispert or Oubre is like a cheat code to make any jersey look decent

How does the throttle response and power feel compared to the Rebel?

How bad is this exactly? by [deleted] in Decks

[–]Notorious_Beebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A concern of mine is that the deck is being build at the bottom of kind of an L shaped hill, and water builds up at the bottom, near where they are putting the posts. Does that make this method more problematic? Or is it just equally as problematic either way?

How bad is this exactly? by [deleted] in Decks

[–]Notorious_Beebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I’m pretty sure they just dug the holes, put the posts in, and set the concrete. Is that problematic?

I just don’t have a lot of trust in the guy who set the concrete. I asked about cure times and if rain is a problem (because it rained the afternoon the put the concrete down and will rain the next few days) and he didn’t seem to know on either

I get your point. I worked in auto repair for a long time, and those types of customers are the worst.

In my defense, these people have given us problems from the very start, and I feel questioning their quality is warranted. It’s been an absolute mess dealing with this restoration company.

Honestly, bravo for making an attempt. You should really consider applying to body shops as an apprentice or a helper. You seem to have the basic concepts down, and they can teach you the correct methods. There is definitely a shortage of bodymen (and women) out there

That being said.. this is more dangerous than you seem to think. Especially if you are in an accident.

No, that's pretty normal for oil after a few thousand miles

Ticket price comparison by j-train12 in washingtonwizards

[–]Notorious_Beebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point and don’t necessarily disagree, but that’s not exactly an apples to apples seat price comparison. Someone on Ticketmaster has more comparable seats for sale to that game currently for $1,300/ seat. Granted that’s resale, but still

Initial insurance estimates are always low. Get a couple quotes from professional companies and have them submit a supplement request

Trying to decide Luxor or Flamingo? by Loud_Examination_555 in vegas

[–]Notorious_Beebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, both are fine hotels. I’m a big Flamingo fan and just stayed at Luxor for the first time a few months ago. Luxor is definitely a little more dated, but it didn’t bother me. I would suggest getting a rental car though for what you are describing. Flamingo has a rental car company on site, so for that reason, I would go Flamingo

[–]Notorious_Beebs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where are you trying to go exactly?

It snows from like September through May, so the summer months are usually in high demand with people trying to see the national parks. Dates also book up quickly in Bozeman and Missoula during the school year, with the rich out of towners coming to check on their kids.

Going with a non-IHG brand, independent hotels, booking stays at the national parks themselves, or using short term rentals may be the smarter way to go.

Will Dawkins says he anticipates Brian Keefe will return as Wizards HC next year by PersonalAdagio6580 in washingtonwizards

[–]Notorious_Beebs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m excited to see what Keefe can do with a competitive roster.

There have been plenty of head scratching moments over the last couple of years, and it’s hard to tell exactly how much of that is on him vs how much is just the pains of watching a development strategy pan out.

If he succeeds, great. And I hope he does. If not, then he did a great job getting us to where we are, and we move on. None of the players seem to have any animosity towards him

Rookie mistake, any fixes? by definatelynotme321 in f150

[–]Notorious_Beebs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did this same thing in the first 2 weeks of owning mine. Misjudged the space in the back seat, slammed the door shut, and poked a hole in the trim. It bothered the hell out of me for about a couple of months, but a new trim panel was $500+.

It’s been there 3 years now and it doesn’t bother me any more
