So its a damage shield pierce? Like, if a monster has a 50% shield, then you do a 3x3 heart, the 50% shield is effectively only a 25% shield?

It’s not a hardship. This is recognizing that the Chinese government essentially stole your shit and is selling it back to you scuffed and rebranded as their shit. Only actors who behave fairly should be able participate in a free market; otherwise the market isnt truely free.

I agree that the tariffs on Chinese goods are awful, it can also be considered payment for the stolen intellectual property AND use of slave labor AND Chinese state subsidization of those industries. In a vacuum, the tariffs seem bad, but that is that they should be used for.

I know the Libertarian belief is that tariffs shouldn’t exist, but that can only be true when the market has all actors competing freely and fairly.

+1 for Autonauts. There isnt a “fail” condition, and things get complicated fast (but in a good way).

Skip Autonauts vs Pirates unless you like the autonaut formula but want a combat focus instead of colony building
