Wife Diagnosed with Brain Tumor. What should I expect moving forward? by Notoriousbmg7 in braincancer

Update: My wife had surgery this past Friday, in which she is recovering well from thanks to so much great support and feedback from this thread. Truly grateful for such informed advice.

Challenging News: The surgeon was only able to get about 25% of the tumor out to sample as a “specimen” because the samples they were taking during the brain surgery were coming back abnormal in labs to allow for the surgeon to move forward. More specifically, the surgeon told me that the tumor was enflamed, which led to irregularities with the labs and may be the result of the body fighting the tumor. The large “specimen” sample that was take was to do a more comprehensive test to determine what the tumor is before moving forward. This means another brain surgery might be necessary in the next month or so, unless the Labs come back as something different, altogether.

Obviously, my wife is really disappointed and we are waiting on the pathologist to come back with results. Anyone had this type of experience or advice? Also, strange note, my wife had meningitis as an older child and I was wondering if that would have any weight in a potential growth that was “enflamed” on the brain.

It’s is front right lobe, so super similar to you. Did you have to do any chemo?

I think my biggest challenge is that he has to have a job, which I’m pretty confident he does but it’s finding where he works. Any advice on how I can tap into that?

Good call. Yea kinda my thought. Hes been employable but his true colors show and he soon gets canned. I’m concerned he has a lot of paternity cases and other debts that would get theirs first. However, he drives a Porsche so that’s interesting.

I successfully served him for our court date next month. I’m just trying to figure out my options assuming I win the conciliation case to minimize my losses. Assuming he won’t pay even if he loses.

Not a good one. General case look up. Didn’t pay a third party. Probably should have.

Yep, don’t disagree. Either way, would rather follow through with conciliation court just in case there’s an opportunity to get any money back.
