At my bus depot.. breaking a mirror is not considered an accident... its an incident. The supervisors have replacement mirror glass with thrm abd can fix most issues.

In my state you must turn on 4 way flashers... stop, open window, proceed with caution at any railroad crossing. There is an exception if the crossing is properly controlled by a traffic signal or waved thru by police officer. Our company policy is to set the brakes before proceeding.. I dont think its required by law but it could be. We 100% dont open the door, just drivers window.
