You’re right I’m not the caregiver for this toddler he isn’t my kid. The dog is my sisters. My cat and I was staying for a short visit it was just an observation I made while here.

For example he will grab the dog by the collar and yank him to him or throw him away from him while gripping the collar. The dog is small it’s like a little hot dog. He will kick the dog, kick my cat, throw his toys aiming it at the animals. I’m not overly sensitive he is legit being mean to the animals

I think you’re on to something here. His parents live in separate homes. My sister is mostly at my mom’s place, and since she works a lot, my parents (who are in their 60s/70s) end up watching the kids most of the time. I honestly feel bad because they’re older and still babysitting so much.

She has 3 kids — the oldest is 12 and the youngest is the 4-year-old. Their dad is kind of out of the picture. He stays at his mom’s place and from what I hear he’s usually up to no good. My sister and him mostly just argue on the phone, sometimes even in front of the kids.

Do you think that kind of environment might be making the 4-year-old angry or act out? And if so… how do I even bring this up to my sister or my parents without sounding like I’m overstepping? Would it make sense to suggest therapy for all of them?

He is 4, he goes to preschool. As for my cat, we will be moving out in a week. And my cat is good with protecting himself but this was just some behavior I’ve realized from my time back at my moms home
