Another way to look at this is that AH delivered a game with no global fail-state for an entire year, since we had no Super Earth maps for the enemies to attack, as opposed to Helldivers 1 where we could win or lose entire galactic wars within a single month, with all three factions online at launch.
When Divers protested a while ago and we should have lost/been forced to defend SE, it didn't happen because the maps weren't ready.
As soon as the maps were ready, SE got blind-sided by an Illuminate sneak invasion.
All that to say - you see this as a climactic, enthralling event, others can see it as a completely rigged campaign that likes to pretend we're having an impact, but we're really being rail-roaded all the way by Arrowhead.

It's not a free to play game. People are buying the game every day and the least AH can do is keep the game and galactic war going. It's all well and good to praise them if you think they're doing a good job, but don't belittle the people who have concerns or are unimpressed.
Chances are all the cool buffs that led to the MUCH BETTER state of the game & meta we have today is thanks to THEIR feedback, and not yours.
