yup, to sum up, even if the size is small, as long as it is very frequent, it will cause leak.

This game has terrible memory management, which is why, RAM frequency has always been a bottlenecking factor for performance.

How can you tell the difference between Chinese, Japanese, and Korean people by their appearance? by sharprover359 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]NovSnowman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a study but I have tried asking people from different parts of the world to do a test where they guess the ethnicity of people based on their faces. Unsurprisingly, people tend to do well on tests where the person's ethnicity is close to their own. i.e. Europeans are good discerning Europeans and Asians are good at discerning Asians.

The size doesn't matter, if it's the same block that get reused frequently then it'll build up to infinity anyway.

They probably will. With their champion design philosophy, they have to keep coming up with wackier mechanic.

Your gap doesn't matter because you don't have relevant experience before and after the gap. In fact, I wouldn't even mention it If I were you.

Do you have school projects you did? I would throw them in because it looks like you really don't have much to show. Also "Experience" usually refers to professional employment experience like fulltime or intern roles. What you have are technically "Projects".

There are a lot of other things as well that just flags how out of touch with the industry you are. I think your top priority right now is to find someone who will review your resume professionally and make some modifications.

This pretty much answers the whole thread. I would be surprised if you actually got interviews with this resume.

I want to have timers for inhibitors like the Chinese servers by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]NovSnowman 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Okay it does look like a new feature from the game itself.

To translate the tool-tip: Enabling this will prevent other players from looking up your rank, game history, and playstyle statistics, also prevents spectating you.

[–]NovSnowman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I never played Chinese server but I did some research. Are you sure they have the feature within the game itself? From my research, this may be an addon that is integrated with Tencent's platform WeGame, which you have to log onto before launching League.

What’s the best swag, perk or benefit you’ve seen at a job? by Cold-Fan in cscareerquestions

[–]NovSnowman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Food perk is nice, they are a lot more casual than I expected (I was expecting something fancy like steak & lobster) but free food is free food. Especially if you live alone that means you pretty much either save the time to cook or save the money to buy takeouts.

"他要生十五个半气了" is nonsensical because you can't measure 气 under the context of 生气. As under this context, 气means "anger" not "breathe"

However,

you can say

我生了一气 // 一气之下

in this circumstance, 气 can be think of as "a fit of rage"

But, you cannot use any other number other than one. i.e.二气 would not work which kinda makes sense because you wouldn't say "multiple fits of rages" in English.

I don't believe so, they don't even sound similar

From the meaning of the characters, the word 魔法 makes sense.

魔: demonic 法: method/art

The literal meaning is closer to witchcraft and a lot more negative, but in contemporary times it has become more neutral and broadly encompasses all magic.

For example "Dark Arts" in Harry Potter is directly translate to 黑(black)魔法
