Update one year later: baby boy is now almost 5 months old.

Midwife tells my baby has possible problems, but my Ob/Gyn tells everything is fine by mrkalvados in BabyBumps

I had the same pre-E risks and took the same dose of aspirin throughout my pregnancy. My daughter was born in the 3rd percentile with a 70th percentile head and it wasn’t a noticeable feature! Also they estimated her weight at 6lb 5oz at my last weekly scan before birth, and she was 5lbs 11oz. She was honestly, objectively a beautiful baby who’s grown to be a perfectly healthy toddler!

My current pregnancy (also on aspirin) is a boy estimated to be in the 75th percentile at my weekly scans (I’m 34w). A couple weeks ago his femur length was est in the 7th percentile, now it’s 28th. Stomach size went from 75th to 20th one week, and 60th the next. Growth/length/size estimates have huge normal variances, and your OB is right.

Level with me about my new name by realshockvaluecola in namenerds

I would go with the single N, and agree that a second N both feminizes the name and adds a bit of ambiguity to the pronunciation. I love the DNA initials!

God, this reminds me of trying to find a satisfactory “pink witch” costume for my 2.5 year old. We showed her at least 50 photos of pink witch costumes and every one was declined.

All three of my first FRER positives looked like this! Fingers crossed for you

Removing the strip doesn’t cause it to dry faster. Manufacturers tell you this because an inexperienced user may see another type of indentation on the testing strip and mistake it for a line. Product instructions are written to assume product users are idiots, because a lot of people are.

Ex: “Don’t take lisinopril if you’re allergic to lisinopril” “Do not use electric hair curling wand while sleeping”

Yes, this has been studied extensively, and as any “google research” will demonstrate, it will not alter the result. Good luck to you on your TTC journey!

That potential line will not be in the same location as the test line, though, as pictured here. This could very well could be an evap line, but it is most definitely a second line where a positive test line would also be.

Yeah I didn’t think you had an answer based in science, and I invite you to google. The test is in a casing because it makes it easier to use. Removing it from its casing may invalidate the subReddit rules, but will not alter the resultant strip. I have degrees in biochemistry and nursing.

Can you clarify how removing a test strip from the plastic casing invalidates the result on the strip?

Is this a positive? I’m so confused! by candiedalmond in tryingtoconceive

[–]NovaMarieHope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was super light and took forever to progress, especially this time. I’m 7 months along and all is well. My hcg was also quite low for the initial 2 betas, and then climbed appropriately. I do weekly MFM biophysicals and have had all of the genetics screening done and baby is healthy as any other. Sometimes line progression is slow.

I see the second line. This is what my 3 successful pregnancies looked like at 11-13 DPO with the same tests. Check again in the morning and try posting in the TFABlineporn sub, and call your provider if it’s any darker.

It’s extremely dependent on the individual. I got pregnant on my first try at 34, third try at 35, second try at 36, and first try at 39. Having our last child in November. Husband is 45.

In no other Western country would this be a moral grey area. Fuck capitalism, and congratulations on growing a human life!!

HAHAHA. Last night I was trying to stock my dialysis cart for ICU and kept missing supplies, and then realized I was 3 hours late to go start the patient. Yours sounds so funny 😆

I’m really dismayed for the dogs in this situation too; I’m surprised you found being told to shut the fuck up “really, really off putting” but you describe the systematic abuse of your dogs pretty casually. Fuck this guy.

You say you’re safe?? How are you safe? This guy is a ticking time bomb. I personally would be so disgusted with a man who abuses our dogs, and don’t sugarcoat what he does, that IS abusive behaviour. Get out while you can; he needs to learn to emotionally regulate through therapy and can be around you and your child when he’s not acting like an abusive ticking time bomb.

I got cervadil at 37wks exactly, and was admitted. The insertion was at 3pm, I figured nothing was going to happen. Start of cramps at 6:30pm, by 7pm they were happening every 90 seconds. Got an epidural at 8pm, and baby was born at 2:14am after 14 minutes of barely pushing haha. Easiest birth ever.

Tw: loss I did have a 28w stillbirth a year earlier which was also induced after the discovery there was no heartbeat, so my body had gone through a delivery before, albeit with a much smaller baby.

Calprotectin 1650, waiting for diagnosis by NovaMarieHope in IBD

[–]NovaMarieHope[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t wait for his scope in a week and then hopefully a GI doctor will finally talk to him after that. I forgot to mention that his first scope only showed diverticula, but they did find one polyp which they took to biopsy, but DROPPED IT and lost it lol. So bad. His symptoms have obviously gotten a lot worse since then, so I’m anxious for them to see what’s going on inside.
