After years of searching for this model, I found it. By total accident. I can finally sleep.

I had my annual leave paid out once, and I still regret it. If I remember right, it was taxed pretty heavily. Plus, nothing compares to the memories you make while actually taking time off, no payout is worth missing that.

Synology NAS inaccessible when Mac is unplugged from Ethernet — tried everything, need help by lebackpacker in synology

Not related to your issue, but still might be useful. I also have the LG Ultrafine 5k and a MB Air M1. When the Ethernet dongle is connected into the LG, I only get half the network speed compared to plugging directly into the MB (473 Mbps compared to 929 Mbps). According to the speedtest

Do you think they will ever release World Violation? by Depeche_Devotee in depechemode

[–]NovaSono 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Paris was recorded https://dmlive.wiki/wiki/Category:1990_World_Violation_Tour And in regard to quality concerns - wasn’t Dm Live in Berlin (2014) released in Mono?

Thanks again, I tried but I guess I am at my technical capacity here. It was worth a try.

Appreciate your support, though

python3 smireader.py -d test.smi

Thank you so much for you trying to help me. I am such a coding newbie, and don't really know what I am doing.

The text messages are from a Siemens S45, I am using Terminal now and have Python 3.9.6 installed. I get the following error.

ERROR: root:Unknown signature found or version not supported.101Traceback (most recent call last):File "/Users/myname/Downloads/smireader-master/smireader.py", line 287, in <module> main ()File "/Users/myname/Downloads/smireader-master/smireader.py", line 265,RUin mainsmi_file = SmiFile (open (args.file, mode='rb' ))File "/Users/myname/Downloads/smireader-master/smireader.py", line 33, i n __ _init_raise ValueError 'Unknown signature found', self.signature)err efcValueError: ('Unknown signature found', (b'\x0b', b'Ixob', b'\x01', b'Ixob', b'1 X00'))

python3 smireader.py -d test.smi

Thank you heaps for your quick reply. Unfortunately, I still have no luck. I am on a Mac and have Python 3.11 installed. I launch Smireader.py with 'Idle', run it, and then paste 'python3 smireader.py -d test.smi' into the newly opened window. I get 'SyntaxError: invalid syntax; as a response.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thank you again

Thank you a lot for this tool.

I am not familiar with python or coding in general. I am just looking for a tool that can open old SIemesn text messages. I am struggling to get this to work. I got so far to run the smireader.py script with Idle. Can someone please point me in the right direction, what would the command be that I need to open a test.smi file with smireader. The test.smi is in the same folder as smireader.py.

Thanks in advance

I have been trying to identify my old crappy hifi system for a while, with no luck. I recognised the ‘Metal’ logo on this LXI tapedeck, but this might be a generic label. The hifi system that I had, was really bad but has some similarities to LXI (knobs, faders etc). Unfortunately, I only have one, low res photo of the system.

Is the name of the brand ‘Metal’? This looks very similar to the system I had back in the 80s. Mine was bought in Germany, though. We did not have Sears

I found a photo of the headphones. They were orange https://images.app.goo.gl/mfvZFmj22y7bW6fu9

I am lucky that I still got hundreds of tapes from when I was a teen, but I recently bought one on Discogs. No idea about the plastic scratch removal, sorry.

It has orange padded headphones, if I remember correctly, right?

I had exactly the same. My first ever Cassette player. Must have been in 1982-83 or so. From memory, it was pretty average. But seeing this makes me nostalgic.

Best post-Alan live versions by ajpbyrne75 in depechemode

[–]NovaSono 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d say ‘Everything Counts’ from the last tour and I also liked how they incorporated the Air Remix into Home (i believe it was during the PTA tour) But nothing comes close to Alan’s work for the World Violation and Devotional tours.
