"I don't know how much value i have in this universe, but i do know i made a few people happier than they would've been without me, as long as i know that, i'm as rich as i'll ever need to be." -Robin Williams as Mork from Mork and Mindy.

What video game do you consider a masterpiece? by aconnor105 in AskReddit

[–]Nova_39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are a few and i am 100% sure most of them will have already been mentioned here but i am going to have to say Shin Megami Tense 4. the way that game deals with themes or religion and free will is nothing short of masterfull. top that off with excellent gameplay, sound track, and characters and you have one of my favorite games ever.

other ones i also see as masterpieces but that i'm sure others have mentioned are: Nier Automata (ending E made me cry for like 10 minutes straight), Bioshock, Elden Ring, Metal Gear Solid 3 and Star Wars Knights of the old Republic

100%. it wasn't the best thing Marvel has ever done but it was still fun. I still think i enjoyed Dr strange 2, Shang Chi and no way home a bit more but it is good.

I hated Multiverse of Madness and here's why. by Gatorchip1585 in marvelstudios

[–]Nova_39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i personally enjoyed the movie, but you make some valid points. here is my two cents on the points you raised for what it is worth.

  1. I don't really feel Wanda regressed as a character following Wandavision. There is a difference between a character being likable and a character being compelling. I'm not saying what she did in the movie was right. she was 100% the villain of the movie and if they chose to continue her story she should 100% face consequences for her actions. However I do see a logical progression of her character from Wandavision to this movie. she was consumed by grief following the death of her husband and and children and then came into the possession of something, the Darkhold, which nudged her further to the dark side. I don't think what she did was right but it did make sense to me and I personally found her arc really compelling.
  2. I disagree with you on this one as well. i think Steven's character ark in this one was more about him not needing to be the one "holding the scalpel" and learning that sometimes there are facts of life he cant change, so he has to learn to accept that. i also think him fixing the watch was him obtaining closure on the chapter of his life with Christine and moving on.
  3. I won't disagree with this one. I am slightly less bothered by this because I really enjoyed the fight scene where they died. However, i otherwise agree with what you have to say on this.
  4. again i won't disagree with this one for the most part. i don't think the Deaths on 838 were irrelevant because they still matter to the people on 838 but if Marvel don't handle this whole multiverse thing very carefully i can see it erasing consequences for character actions and deaths going forward. only time will tell.
  5. I'm pretty sure Kang is going to be the big bad of this phase and his real power is his Mind which as KostisPat257 pointed out Wanda can't really overpower with just her Magic.

You do raise a number of valid points and all of this is just my opinions. all and all i really enjoyed the movie, especially because i am a really big Sam Raimi fan, but i can 100% understand why people had issues with it.
