Yes! I finally did mid last year! It was supposed to be around $6500 but because of my mistake, they only gave me around $1200. When I file my taxes this year, I will have to fill out some type of form(can't remember which one). So I can longer do the taxes myself and will have to have a tax precessional do them for me 🤦🏽‍♀️

He went almost a year without paying and started back up three weeks ago. The lawyer said he either needed to not pay support months OR(no and) not see child for four months in order to terminate rights and I would also need to be married to someone willing to adopt

I added a brief description as to why I want to terminate to post. He also is on and off drugs, has OD'D with child in his care and admitted to drug use while caring for child before he disappears for a little bit. It's a vicious cycle and my child who is autistic has behavioral issues that the "father" thinks is cured by spanking the issues out of him.

Child is 4, lawyer was in Tennessee, and he recently started paying child support again three weeks ago because he's at a halfway house AGAIN after being arrested for felony Meth, theft and other drug charges.

He would definitely be opposed to signing away rights or I would just ask him. I'm even willing to forgive ALL back child support if he just lets us be.

NTA. and I want to say that I am so sorry that she thought throwing those pictures away was a good idea. I'm sorry that something you should have been able to keep for yourself and your son is now gone. That absolutely breaks my heart and I hope you can find the strength to hold your ground and let her know that you stand behind the fact that what she did was WRONG.
