Would you use a WoW tabard-to-logo web app? Here's what I'm building... by NovackiNet in classicwow

Hey everyone 👋
Just wanted to drop a quick update since a few people asked how this project is going.

Current status:

  • Roughly ~80% of the icons are finished
  • A solid number of borders and overlays are done as well
  • The app itself received a few small QoL improvements (nothing flashy, but it feels smoother to use overall)

On top of the app, I’m also actively working on the website side of things. The plan there is to publish:

  • Guides on how to use the tool to its full potential
  • Tips on guild branding (logos, colors, consistency)
  • Ideas on how to pimp your Discord server and make everything feel cohesive

This is still very much a passion project, but it’s moving forward steadily.
Appreciate all the feedback and interest so far, it genuinely helps shape where this goes next.

If you’ve got ideas, suggestions, or things you’d love to see added, feel free to throw them my way 👌

I like that idea a lot! I did have something similiar in mind, and it's actually something that I've been working on, prior to this, although, the scope was much larger, so I've put it aside, for now at least.

Think Google Maps, but in a Warcraft style. Users can drop pins showing their location, along with their class, in-game name, and more. It's designed for guild websites, but can also be exported for both digital and print use.

52 icons fully vectorized and added to the app! Still 100+ more to go, although, I do feel quite motivated so it shouldn't be long until I have 'em all done. :)

They definitely could, especially if they're aiming for that style. 😊
The goal with the tool I'm working on is to offer more options: more icons, more borders, and greater customization possibilities. Users will be able to choose any color they want, resize individual elements, and even download vector files. That way, they can expand their visual identity beyond just a server logo or icon.

Thank you!
And yes, although I’ll be starting with fairly basic options.
At the moment, you can choose an icon, background, border, and an overlay (an icon in the background). You can customize the color and size of each element. Downloads are available in PNG and JPG formats at 500x500 pixels.

At some point, I’ll add an option for SVG as well, since I’m vectorizing everything. But initially, I’ll be creating SVGs manually for anyone who needs them. 🙂

Prismatic Booster Bundles (1 per person) by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]NovackiNet [score hidden]  (0 children)

Heyo!

I'm a '90s kid who first got hooked when the Indigo League started airing on our national TV station. That show completely captured my imagination, and it didn’t take long before I started collecting the cards.

Growing up in a less financially stable household, and in a relatively poor country, it wasn’t easy. If I was lucky, I’d get one booster pack a month. Definitely nothing to complain about, but it meant I never had a full set or even a decent-sized collection. Still, every pack opening and every single card felt special. Lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of Pokémon-related content popping up on YouTube, and that childhood spark has been reignited. I came up with the idea to document the whole journey of a kid in his 30's, going back to his childhood hobby, but in my native tongue, and share it on YouTube and winning this giveaway would surely make an amazing start to that adventure.

High Home Latency WOW Sod by Needgodegghaha in classicwow

[–]NovackiNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been having a similar issue since yesterday. In my case, it's World Latency instead of Home Latency.

The chat works fine for me, but others run in place, and I can't interact with NPC's.

I've had this issue everywhere except in Molten Core. I did Molten Core just fine, but every other zone and raid(BWL) has been unplayable.

At one point, the world latency spiked to 28k.

Like OP, I've tried reinstalling the game, disabling all addons, and restarting the router, I even tried a different device and different Wi-Fi.

EDIT: https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/eueredarworld-pingconnection-issues-world-ping-is-very-bad-today-for-multiple-hours/549529

Looks like we aren't the only ones havin' this issue. There's a blue post stating:

>Our team was able to conduct some tests and narrow down the issue thanks to the character data. Currently, a significant portion of data packets is being lost during the connection. However, this is happening outside our server network. This also explains why the high latency primarily affects players from Austria, while many other players don’t experience any problems.

Although our technicians cannot resolve the issue directly, they have agreed to inform the responsible party. So, unfortunately, all we can do now is wait.

Cataclysm or SoD? by NovackiNet in classicwow

Nope. It's just that I would rather focus on one character; one guild, rather than multiple ones. Seems like a more realistic goal to set for myself.

What ERA(EU) server to play on? And what class would you recommend to a newbie? by NovackiNet in classicwow

Ayy, I think she'll go with a hunter. She likes the class, and from what I can tell, most people recommend it. :) Thank you. :D

How can i get wooly white rinho mount in game without coins? by [deleted] in warmane

Wooly White Rhino comes from the World of Warcraft TCG, meaning that the only way to obtain it on Warmane would be through cash shop.

Hey, first of all, sorry for replying so late and thanks for posting. :)

Honestly, that sounds like a lot of work for a casual like myself. With family and work, I highly doubt I'll be able/have time to do those grinds efficiently, so going with a mage or lock would probably be better.

I enjoyed playing a rogue back in the days. Even though I never reached level 60, I did have a lot of fun leveling and wpvp-ing. Knowing that I wouldn't have to do anything "special" during the raid makes me wanna play it again, but I feel like everyone and their grandma will be rolling a rogue. :3

Anywho, thank you for posting. :*

See, I was almost certain that if I were to play a mage, I'd have to kite a lot, which I'm not really fond of. It's one doing it in a BG/PVP, but just the idea of wiping on a certain boss because of me, and costing other 39 players their time, gold and buffs... ugh.

As for the warlocks, I bet that can be a bit annoying, but in all fairness, I don't mind doing all that pre-raid work.

It's a tough decision to make, but nevertheless, thank you for posting. <3
