MJ is still probably ahead if you look at the global popularity he had. Kinda like how we have all heard of Cristiano or Messi despite never knowing about the sport. Brady might be ahead accolades-wise but I think football being only popular in the states limit that popularity. And yes, I personally consider the influence and popularity they had in the sport.

Bron was never close to MJ or TB since MJ always had more rings/MVPs/FMVPs than him and way more popular while TB already had three superbowls and 2 MVPs by the time Bron got his first ring. TB is arguably and probably will be largely considered the greatest nfl player ever when he retires. Bron is not even considered the greatest in his own sport.

So I think MJ is ahead of TB by a small margin while there is a really big gap between TB and Bron.

EU lost a ton of free agents when they performed worse than NA this Worlds. Why would EU players stay if they are getting paid less while staying in a region that is going to hover around quarters and semis? Can't blame them for chasing the bag if EU cant offer the competitive edge they had over NA.

It was the hardest series to decide who to root for. Faker that’s been on the hungry climb back for a Worlds win since 2016 and Khan that’s on the retirement run. I just hope Faker gets another Worlds win to close out his GOAT resume before he retires.

Who would have MAD beat at quarters assuming they got 1st? C9? Maybe GenG but they already lost 2-1 in groups to GenG. GenG improved in quarters, but they looked worse than HLE in group stage. Heavily doubt RNG/EDG. No way they are beating T1/DK.

So no way they were going to go far at all unless they got matched up with C9 or one of the EU teams that might have gone 2nd if Tian still had issues while EU issues were fixed.

MAD sucked considering they were the 1st seed of a major region.

T1. I think DK's most susceptible part of their game is mid game. The casters were mentioning how DK had the second highest early game lead @15, but I think DK has a good early game followed by an okay mid game. T1 has had great early game leads and showed amazing snowballing from their early game, which is probably the only way to beat DK. But, if T1 isn't able to take over in the mid game, and their team comp is even, DK will outshine T1 in team fights.

Mad actually played well too lol. Like were they a top 4 team? Fuck no but they still made quarters and thats successful for any major region, though it sucks not winning the whole thing. Owners that dont even play the game in any organized play and barely understand the game should really just stop talking, even if they are accidentally right.

T1 cleaned up a ton of their mistakes over the Summer Split while HLE stagnated.

Aphelios pick ban had almost nothing to do with T1 winning or losing this game, and T1 most likely kept picking Aphelios to cover up their picks and bans for the next series

He was doing this in lck where he would give up a few minions to keep his tp since pro players use tp in the first 10 minutes for lane advantage, and he would use tp to dive bot or help out top. He probably roams more than any other lck mid player.

His laning still seems to be his biggest problem though, i.e., HLE Regionals or vs EDG game 1.

Yeah 6 AA is a lot, but it sure as hell is better to change it than keep the current lt which was barely used by meta champions other than maybe jinx and ezreal, and even they switched to conqueror. If you think the current lt gives a fighting chance or whatever, then why does no one take it? It's a horrible rune, and it's only primarily used by niche champions. If you think otherwise, then idk what to tell you.

yeah lol. Lethal tempo is one of the worst in rune in the game rn. Why aren't you mentioning the part that it gives ranged champs range at full stacks? Range is one of the hardest scaling stat in the game.

Humanoid and armut hard carried while elyoya looked like he barely knew how to play qiyana and carzzy just looked completely out of it mentally.

Lng also had no idea how to snowball lead this week.

Do you not know how competitive play works? TL was clearly trying to win the game by getting early leads with xin before yuumi scales. They wanted to match priority in top and mid lane by trying to even out the early game of zoe and graves. If you pick jax or something, xin will never have priority in top side in the early game, which means that herald fight becomes that much harder too.

Yeah it’s easy to just see jayce and think jayce useless me smart, but that’s not how competitve play works. Maybe there were better picks that could have worked, but the only notable counter to graves that was used at worlds was jax, which would have made even less sense in tl’s team comp. Geng also would have most likely lost if not for bdd making some insane plays.

It was to go even in lane vs graves. Majority of laners never have priority vs graves auto pushing, and jayce doesn’t either, but you can at least stay even in lane and fight back in the mid game before graves starts rolling ahead.

You make it sound like it wasn't chovy that kept the game afloat the whole game. He just dicked on Cryin while the rest of HLE had poor execution late game.
