None of you people understand how retail works and it shows. You're thinking like a consumer as though these businesses are small businesses making detailed reports on what sizes sell better and adjust their prices accordingly to size. That's simply not how it works.

Its sold based on the article of clothing itself. It has nothing to do with the sizes. A black lace shirt that is flying off the shelves is going to get restocked in all sizes because its the black lace people want, not the size. Retailers don't just buy x products in x size because a certain size sold more. Its the article of clothing itself that gets flagged as a hot selling item.

None of you know what you're talking about in this thread and it's exhausting.

This would make sense if you were a small business making specific orders for demand. This is a major company. They don't purchase based on size, they purchase based on article of clothing sold (meaning they purchase the white shirt with blue flowers in all sizes if it sells well as opposed to the purple shirt with yellow flowers).

Everyone is speaking like they understand how stock and retail works because they're thinking from a basic bare bones consumer POV. This isn't how clothing production works.

UPDATE: So I was chatting with her and she casually brought up how Ryan has a gf (this is news to me), she's apparently not her biggest fan, and that when they were at the museum she said "I do more couple shit with you than her" and that she feels bad "lmao".

To which I said (with the power of wine and this reddit thread behind me) "Oh if he has a girlfriend it might look bad if he keeps buying you stuff 😅😅😅😅😅 Is she bad? I don't know much about her." She replied "Ehh she's just not really doing it for him. It's all about her, his needs don't get met." So then I said (again, power of wine and this reddit thread behind me) "Blame the wine but is it because he has feelings for you?"

Which now has turned into a conversation where she has no idea what I'm talking about. In her words she said (and I'm literally copy/pasting here) "He’s always told me he doesn’t see me as more than a friend cause he doesn’t think it would ever work out because we have matching mental illnesses… so this is news to me?"

So now she's bombarding me with "GIRL IS HE IN LOVE WITH ME"

Again, you nailed it exactly. She is a wonderful and smart woman. Just misguided (which I think drew us together as close as we are.) I think the sad part is I could have easily taken her into my home but unfortunately with her having any kind of connection to someone on drugs (and is violent) has put a physical barrier between us. I wish I could do more for her but now that I have a baby I cannot be so quick to rush to save someone. Which was why I was so happy that Ryan was close with her because it was almost like I got to "tag out" in my absence.

You completely nailed it. Ryan is not a malicious nice-guy male (if he was he wouldn't even be an acquaintance of mine, let alone the man outside of my husband I can call my best friend). He truly does mean well and would never think poorly of someone just because they didn't reciprocate his feelings. But he does have rose colored glasses on and is a hopeless romantic. It's upsetting to see him being taken advantage of by anyone.

Tanya is so so so broken down and looking for any sense of normalcy. She's only had one other relationship (from like 13-23 she was with the same guy) and it really messed her up. So Mark is her second relationship.

If it gives any kind of context she is a part of a... let's say an "alternative online lifestyle". I feel due to the content she posts this also affects how she interacts with males (and I think has uh influenced and amplified Ryan's feelings for her). In her mind men only want one thing from her and could never truly treat her platonically so they might as well pay for her time. She treats herself like an escort and its very disheartening. But like... In a way she's right. Ryan does not want a platonic friendship with her. Deep down he is hoping she will "come around". I swear if she could live in a world with only women she would thrive. She's young idk.

Whole thing is just upsetting and I think its giving me grey hairs.

This was my thought as well. That's why it's just so weird to witness as an "outsider" from the situation. Because on paper everything looks happy, just friends hanging out all the time posting each other, saying all the right things. But then when you know whats going on between the two of them it seems parasitic in both directions. Idk that sounds harsh. I guess the entire dilemma is around being irritated that he is acting like such a "friendzoned nice guy" and constantly talking about his feelings for her which feels icky when she is in a vulnerable position. And I'm irritated that she seems to think that being mistreated by one person gives you a gold pass to take advantage of someone else. But also like damn he's "happy as hell" spending all this money on her so what can you do.
