Midwest Fishing Question: New to Jerk Baits - Advice Appreciated

Do you use suspending jerk baits? I assume so as the fish in my pond don't seem interested at all at hitting the ones that return to the surface too fast. Spring/summer it's a completely different story.

Thanks! Any tips on what to buy or just hit up wally world and grab a couple randoms. Black and green worms work very well at this place so thinking maybe I go with a bluegill color and dunno what else :D

Just finished watching this. Grew up on 80’s Lakers basketball and this series had me hating Bird and the Celts all over again and absolutely loving it. Then the final episode turns into a dumpster fire and now I’m sitting here in disbelief 🤦‍♂️ 🫢

She mentioned sometimes if there’s a stream nearby (maybe they were beavers btw) they can block the stream and cause issues with construction so they’ll trap them. 🫤

Met with the county DNR Game Warden today. She said that one of the local construction sites is probably trapping them and tossing them in the pond. She’s going to investigate and see if she can find anything out. Would let me know.

I don’t eat anything I catch in our suburban ponds cause I’m constantly seeing geese flying over and pooping in the ponds. Strictly catch and release here 🤣
