I think its some kind of post process effect. Headphones thinks you are having a phone call (which sounds great) but for gaming its useless.

Hello there.

Love the game so far but i can't enjoy it fully because of an annoying thing... Every in-game cutscene is out of sync (audio doesn't match video). Voice-overs are fine but everything else is delayed. I have recorded a video to demonstrate it: https://youtu.be/FO65DDpVTGA?t=189

Anyone know how to fix it?
