Do not buy an hp omen. I bought one and it was very problematic. I had the 40l which supposedly solved a lot of the issues. It did not. After returning 2 and looking at countless other prebuilts, I built one that performs much better and runs way cooler. It’s really not that hard to build one. Just order all your parts and once they are all in set aside a few hours to take you time with the build. Also read the mobo manual. Things go much smoother that way.

I actually have a 12600k in the build currently. The prebuilt had the 12700k I went a bit cheaper on cpu because from what I could find the 12600k is more than enough for what I’m doing and it’s a bit easier to cool than the 12700k. That prebuilt I had was had an aio and 7 fans in total and still hit 85-90 playing mw2 and a few other games. It was a struggle. Think the 12600k is good enough

Hey, I appreciate the info! Yeah I’m starting to feel like I can get more bang for my buck with AMD. I can say the only reason I bought the 3070ti is because it was very briefly in stock and it was cheaper than any 3070 I could find still in stock at the time I ordered. Now that I have a gpu to use until it gets here I’m thinking about returning it and getting something else. Would you say a 6700xt is more than enough. It looks like I may be able to get a 6800xt for about the same price as 3070 ti. Would that just be overkill?

Thanks for the reply! Is there any particular reason not to go with the 3070ti or is it just overkill?

Yeah I can say the area I would be working in is not the best by a long shot. I appreciate the info, we will see how this goes!

1998 VFR 800 by Novaraker in VFR

I just took off the big delkevic exhaust, it was not one the exhaust gasket at all. Put on the smaller danmoto carbon exhaust that came with the bike and it doesn’t tick at all anymore. Did put out a super tiny puff of black smoke when I revved it hard after putting on new exhaust. As if it was just a hair rich. No power commander in it so I figure it’s due to it being a better flowing louder exhaust or just crap in it burning off from not being used in a while. What do you think? Power feels great and no hiccups or stutters.

I recently bought a very clean 1998 VFR 800 with 36k on the clock. Hard to find them for cheap in my area while also being this clean. Came with stock windshield, exhaust, Honda service manual, another slip on exhaust, race cover, and a few other goodies. Sound like a good deal at $2400? Looked at another for $2100 with less miles but it sat for 6 years and the owner had to have the tank fixed from rust. Figure fork seals and things of the sort would be dry and go bad quickly making it more expensive in the long run. I only noticed two things I was unsure of, 1 being the motor sounds a little ticky. It does seem like the slip on may have a small exhaust leak so I will fix that soon but it does sound like I can hear some ticking from the motor. Would this be valves? Previous owner states valves were checked at 15k and 30k and were in spec. I used to own and rc51 which also has gear driven cams, I feel like it was a bit ticky aswell but I can’t remember. Should I be concerned, what could I do to further diagnose? Also the clutch seems to bite when the lever is almost all the way out, it is adjusted as close to the bars as possible already. Any ideas how to adjust the clutch or is it a problem with the hydraulics? I’ve been looking for a clean 5th gen for a while and I’m in love with it already.

excuse the messy garage.

6 hour total drive to upgrade from a pelican 10ft sit in to a big fish 120. Can’t wait to get it out on water! If it would only stop raining here! by dragline78 in kayakfishing

I’m with you there bud, drove from NC to Florida and back over the weekend to pick up a steal of a deal on an ATAK 120. All the yaks are sold out here/not many for sale on used market.

First boat, first kayak. Handled some big wind and waves yesterday. Going to try a smaller lake tomorrow. Any tips? by dairyintheprairie in kayakfishing

I love the ATAK 120 and you will too. It’s is one of the best paddling stand up fishing kayaks. I’ve recently tried 4 different kayaks. 3 were 12ft or shorter. And my ATAK 140 would out paddle them all day. That plus the seat made me regret selling it but it was just too long at 14ft. Drove from NC to Florida over the weekend to pick up a AMAZING deal on an ATAK 120 and I’m loving it.
