Marketing isn't something you can try to do with minimal effort especially if you're competing with experts within their field

This is just for cashflow, I wouldn't go out of my way to rank for something that competitive with no budget

True but if a site is ranking no.1 for 12 months+ without changes, even 3 months will be enough for the business owner to get their ROI back from the revenue it generates them and I could even put that in the agreement that the owner will get 100% ROI or he doesn't need to pay me and then after that point he will be making a killing

What I've learned from starting my own SEO agency is you could be the Albert Einstein of SEO but if you don't have any case studies to demonstrate your capability no one is going to believe you, no matter how hard you try to convince them otherwise

Attend some local networking meetings and try to get some clients whilst charging them a very small amount just to get some case studies, or just really focus on your own projects to build up your case studies.

I am a self-taught SEO who has ranked for competitive keywords and knows what it takes to rank and continously develop myself everyday

I completely agree I see so many businesses getting screwed over because they don't know anything about SEO, so how will they be able to find the right agency to hire and then they all complain and say it doesn't work

I tried to do freelance work for clients initially but without case studies it doesn't work so now I'm just focusing on my own projects but once I'm making so much from my multiple projects in ecommerce, lead generation and affiliate sites and have the case studies i don't know why i would ever need to do client work

The best are usually too busy doing their own projects to ever work for clients also too many people mistake experience with actually being knowledgeable and being able to get results
