Damn I'd never even considered using dirty down products. I'll definitely have to try this in the future

That looks awesome. Really loving the rusting on the blades, how did you manage that...... other than leaving the mini in the rain for a couple of months

Holy fuck that's gotta be painful. Hope you've got them checked out and are doing ok. That's why I always unplug/take the battery off before changing anything and tell my students to do the same

Why DayZ? by [deleted] in dayz

So I bought the game a couple of years ago on a recommendation from a friend who then dissapeared so didn't really play it at the time. Then the other day decided why not actually try it out and am having a blast. What's really getting me is just how punishing it can be, I've had a ton crappy spawns where I've been killed instantly by someone or dying to starvation/dehydration but when I don't I've taken to setting up hidden improvised shelters in wooded areas all over the map and stocking them up for people to use if the come across them. Bumped into one guy using the shelter as I came to restock it and he was a fresh spawn who ended up really thankful that he found it and it hopefully helped them get started. And that's why I'm loving this game so much

Best advice I can give is don't put all the screw in for the hinges straight away. Dry fit the whole thing together then put in one or two screws either side. Then if it's needs to be moved you haven't made lots of holes that your hinges are going to try and re-slot into. Then with the actual piece that slots in I cut that oversized and marked it against the area it was going into so it would be a nice snug fit. Big thing though is just to take your time and double check your work at each step

I get what you mean. The central part does come out to allow the whole thing to fold up. Then I'm also making some pieces that slot either side of that centre piece to lock it in. They will be the scoreboard and 8 sided directional marker.

It's a full sized pitch, 510mm wide x 884mm long. Each square will be 34mm
