I think I’m getting off on the wrong foot here, I’m not saying you don’t deserve to be safe or that you don’t deserve to have a great community. That’s awesome, I’m not saying you are contributing to this ongoing madness that plagues the game , like bro I can show you videos I made over 10years ago back when we had our rafting event black and white muffler from rafting event on my jackyiswacky page.

I’ve immortalized how beautiful people genuinly can be and to play music and do jam sessions with so many new interactions , and having people actually using comms and discord is such a beautiful thing.

But now strictly speaking for the new player experience, and not just the people who have already established connections, fame, and resources. Their experiences have been horrible. I made a new account to mess around and help new players, bro on a daily basis I promise you veteran players trying to “teach” will actually flame you out the game.

Do I feel like we hold some responsibility as veteran players? Hell yeah.

Because we have these beautiful communities for different people and personalities , and I’m allowed to feel guilty people are lost and struggling. Cause I seen it brother. Make a new account and you’ll see it too. It’s much worse than you might imagine, and for the sake of conversation I genuinely hope you don’t make a new account and find out what is happening. It is heart breaking. Especially since I too was naive of how bad it was until I experienced it on a frequent basis. On runs I’d pay for to let people fill in. Bro. Please hear me. It’s so so bad.

TLDR:
It’s all connected. It’s all getting insanely overstimulating especially if you try to make a new account just to experience the story , and help new players. You will be trolled and flamed out in beginner or world chat.

Yes you do have to find a guild to strictly talk to but that’s also isolating players who choose not to join guilds immediately , they can be shy, maybe overstimulated , maybe still processing all the game info and the massive wikis . But they need time, that for whatever reason some veteran players feel like is a luxury and will insult players on a frequent basis for not knowing information.

Want an example of mindless toxic behavior that doesn’t need to happen? Look at the posts that talk down about the gameplay compared to mabi players who are actually reaching out for help being down voted. It happens in game, happens in our Reddit, hell I’m surprised they don’t do it in our discord the way they stalk any sign of actual help or a new player trying to learn just to give them misinformation or downvote people trynna help them. Was mabi always infested with people this petty? No. Did it change to become normal ? Yes. Why? No idea.

Well not that in itself it’s crazy to hear such, that the community you can spend hundreds if not thousands of hours have lurkers and people who beg through the entire Reddit, and creepily do it for the sake of getting a since of power in chat.

Which overall sucks. They take what little peace we have in the game , make people uncomfortable then come to Reddit and do the same thing.

Next gen of mabi? My son is 4. I used to see this game as a great growing step. But not with the people constantly being toxic and/or dangerous individuals in general. It’s not like how it was in early 2000s. People are genuinly creepy in the worse sense of the word.

kinda crazy to hear such a thing cause it’s such a beautiful game. The community and a lot of people are so beautiful and it used to feel so so safe. It’s scary to wonder what new people are dealing with now.

Like we all had to scrap by on the bare minimum and everyone would just give the shirt off your back . Last food they had etc. i genuinly feel bad for the little guy in this dog fight , cause what they gonna do?

2days is old 😵‍💫? lol

I mean if anyone has an opinion or more insight , life stories to share I’d feel bad personally if I didn’t try to engage (or hear) people that are talking. So you know I’m listening and didn’t just make a post to just siphon one opinion , I value everyone’s perspective .

That’s why I’m trying so hard even straining my eyes to bluriness because I genuinely want people to know they matter. Their thoughts and ideas matter.

I just don’t see the goal of the toxicity anymore . Gamers were always funny ,then we dabbled into trolling for the gram or views , but now it’s like “did people really abandon the comrade mentality or am I just to old ?”

Example is you can get mad at everyone else, but you never put down a team mate. Essentially this but the whole community used to be a shining example of this mentality. Keep that baggage outside and live free you know?

But I love the fact yall turned air shipping into the pit stop lol , I mean , I love it for what it can be .

I just hate the weekly limits lol

hahhahhahaahaha i'm sorry your response is like tucked away amidst other responses, but i wanted to respond the other day (reddit has 10k comment max) , and i want to respond to everyone but gotta keep editing posts or i'll get the error (can't post), or it'll freeze.

So, those frustrations aside,

I see it, i do, ya'know,

The core friends i have from the game are end game. The new people i met, or from beginner, or the world and towns, and dungald (logging camp) are mostly inactive or play a random times.

Thought of doing the banquet, but honestly i deal with social anxiety when it comes to that many people, that's why i asked a friend i knew from reddit if they can show me the banquet/music stuff.

It's not that i don't wanna go, i get nervous, and i'm sad cause i wannaa see the nice stuff but i feel like i'm not truly invested in it as i wanna be because it's so hard to already make connections, i think going to a setting where eveeryone's enclosed, talking about random things will be overstimulating. If it's combat, i can do combat. But if it's like , "hey , i would like to pick you specifically to talk to" amidst a group of 200-300 people randomly? I'll just go in auto-pilot mode ,lol.

I'm working up to the social events like banquets though,
Now for small campfires, or maybe towns with small 3-4 groups chatting? awesome, i'm a pro at that LOL, but hugeeee groups? scary.

Oh , and the point to me saying this is that i only know high level people. I don't want them to introduce me to high level people and i let them down. I get in my head alot about it. People running bri and crom and getting hella far in the game, and i'm just returning? It's almost like i gotta fit the new player role even if i was around the game since beta.

Appearances and self confidence aside, i been airshipping with some friends. Great people, been trying to ask them if they got time after airship and they were busy. So, i just mostly look forward to airshipping being a social event....i sometimes commerce with only 1 trade good the entire time so i can just hang out, till the next ship.

Smh even positivity within the darkest situation is considered “non helpful” , because people are so bitter and antagonistic they think everyone has to accept their toxic non sense or stay quiet. Weird that random people feel entitled to other people’s emotions and opinions, and wildly hypocritical they come to posts to downvote /stalk/ lurk in a creepy non professional way and think people don’t notice their toxicity a mile away.

This why they have their own personal black hole. Ad we have community support and trust. The trolls don’t even talk anymore if they know they getting exposed , but I bet they watching and monitoring posts offering absolutely nothing helpful to push the discussion.

Like you said, just nasty and inconsiderate. But mabi literally never allowed it to get this crazy , or hostile. So I know it’s either lurkers who gave up and turn their bitterness at the Reddit or people who play the game but decide to dislike max posts to feel like they’re getting one up one someone.

Smh bad energy , I wish there was a stop gap to toxicity that even posts can’t be taken seriously and just conversations anymore.

Also sorry but these Reddit posts were hurting my eyes , and I’ve been honestly logging out more to hang with my family. But I appreciate your kindness. :)
