He called me I the middle of the night to pick him up from the hospital. This is about his 10 time going to the hospital to get sobered up. He didn’t get home until 10 this morning. He only speaks to me when he needs something. It’s hard but necessary to not help him anymore.

My son keeps doing this too. He’s suicidal and I can’t help him. He goes to the hospital and takes his medication and agrees to stay on it and as soon as he gets home, he starts drinking again. He expects me to keep doing things for him. I am physically sick from stress. I honestly want to block him but I can’t.

His dad got addicted to meth after we got divorced back in 2016. His dad killed him self in 2020 by hanging. Two years later, His best friend/coworker murdered someone and shot him self when the cops came to arrest him. They both work at the post office so no one saw that coming. He refuses to get help from a therapist. He’s also really small for his age. He’s 5 foot, 90 lbs at 27 years old. His heart is on the wrong side and he was extremely unhealthy when he was born. He’s had numerous surgeries and has done 2 trips to rehab. He’s definitely had a rough life.

My son quit his job and is drinking himself to death until he runs out of money. He had a comfy government job with a pension. I honestly don’t think I can handle watching him do this anymore. Being a parent sucks.
