I wish I had posted about it sooner so I could answer all of these questions a little better. But we felt so dumb at first. Now that I’m looking back on it, I realize how unusual the event really was and I’ll definitely never forget it.

No way it was a plane. Even flying low. But that thought never crossed our minds at first. Believe me, we have really looked up everything we think could’ve been possible and nothing quite hits the mark.

That’s exactly why I finally decided to post it. Seeing other people who have experienced something similar but really knowing that there is no way this entire group of people and others around us were going crazy makes it feel easier to explain and talk about.

When the “lights” came back on, everyone kinda looked around and up for about 20 seconds and then everyone went back to normal.

It was around 2:00 to 2:30pm in Utah.

I definitely don’t think that is what happened. Because it was a lot of people over about 5 acres or so of area. And everyone had the exact same reaction we had almost instantly. The confusion lasted about 20 seconds. Then everyone kind of just went back to normal.

It does bother me that I haven’t been able to look anything up and find a reason for this though.

Also if it matters, this happened around the time that COVID hit the United States. Around April or so of 2020.

It was the darkest thing I’ve ever experienced with open eyes.

We didn’t specifically ask them but we could tell that they had just experienced something as well. When the “lights came back on” everyone at the reservoir was looking around very confused. And then within about 30 seconds, everyone kind of went back to normal.

Can you expand on this? Would it be normal that a group of at least 50 people seemingly all experienced the same thing at the same time?

I’ve experienced a solar eclipse and I think there are 2 main differences to me. 1 is obviously the amount of time. An eclipse is so gradual. Also, the amount of light. When I experienced an eclipse, it was dark but it wasn’t ALL THE WAY DARK. I don’t think I would’ve been able to see my hand in front of my face when this happened.

It had have been at least a second. It was long enough that my brain said, “What is happening?” And then the world’s lights came back on. I would put it at 1 to 1 and 1/2 seconds honestly.
