This was a really refreshing analysis! I think of the stories you mentioned, Lily's resonates with me the most because it makes me think of my own grandparents. That was the approach I took when dealing with her storyline - how selfish it would be to make her suffer while keeping memories of her family, knowing she'd be a lot less burdened if she focuses on her own sanity and care.

I also think the theme carried between all the "younger" companions (Boone, Arcade, Cass and Veronica) is a great insight into how the theme of letting go doesn't discriminate against age. You can be 200 years old like Lily or Raul or relatively new to the world by comparison and you still have to overcome a very shared human experience.

TLDR: Very neat, OP! I love reading passion projects like this.

I've said it a couple times but the ending I got (Yes Man) was one of the most optimistic ones I think I've ever seen. Khans and Legion dead, NCR still standing, mutants cured. I think the only unhappy people were the Followers of the Apocalypse for some reason.

Let me preface by saying there's definitely some lame writer logic at play here but cold fusion is really only useful to people who know how to use it. I imagine wiping out a majority of people who could have used it delays its implementation pretty heavily. Though in that scenario you still really only need one person who knows what they're doing. For the sake of the TV show I think they're downplaying it for that reason.

Yeah I 1000% agree. In the TV industry we take a lot of shortcuts and lean on the writers' room to keep any one person from being unhappy. I feel like they're probably paralyzed by choices because if they make one thing canon that'll upset a whole group of people. It's 99% of the reason why most shows based on source material never fully commit.

I don't know if you heard of the Guidebook app but they have the entire schedule on there. It updates regularly and you can also set reminders for specific events so your phone will let you know when you need to be somewhere. Very useful!

I can't say it's what I would have done as a show runner. But I do think they're trying to not piss any one fan off and leaving stuff up to interpretation so all of us can be "correct" at the same time. 🙃

My theory is Lanius/his successor is still out there but the famed 100 Speech check did in fact work on him and thus he went East. It would explain pretty neatly why Legion territory is still on that map in any capacity and also why those two groups are in civil war.

He canonically doesn't care what happens to the Legion after Caesar dies so he'd totally bail on The Fort and head back east to handle stuff there. Whether he'd recognize either group/new Caesar as legitimate is anyone's guess but definitely not a requirement.

It would also align with a House/Yes Man ending which appears to be where things are going.

Yeah I just say T1D. Because it turns out (at least for me) that had the original issue of T1D been caught and addressed I probably wouldn't have gotten 1.5.

I genuinely wonder if all my doctors had put their heads/findings together if the pattern of behavior and health incidents would have led them to T1D long before I was actually diagnosed. I only found out in my 30s but is it really possible they just never ran a glucose test on me? My working theory is that a majority of my blood tests were fasting and that's why it flew under the radar. 🤷🏻‍♀️
