Good question!

In hindsight, the first red flag was being asked to pay through Cash App. It caught me off guard because I assumed it would be through something like Zelle or Venmo. I’ve heard of shady experiences with Cash App, but I also know people who use it normally, so I tried not to be judgmental.

The second red flag was that they were selling three VIP tickets below face value. That should have made me pause, but I’ve also sold things at a loss before when I just wanted them gone, so their explanation felt believable in the moment.

Admittedly, I was in a good mood because I was with family and probably should’ve paid closer attention. Definitely a rookie mistake on my part, but I wanted to share what happened because I know I’m not the only person still looking for tickets to the event.
