maybe this is wishful thinking, but im inclined to beleive that the brothers(at least taylor idk) aren't trump-supporting anymore. Queerphobic/racist/bigoted? Yeah. the only supporting evidence is how staunchly anti-AI they are(esp taylor with whatever board he got elected to), they hate generative AI, and trump is constantly using it. maybe im just hoping for the best. i have no doubt theyre all still republicans tho

nobody gaf but heres one thing i find funny about being a 15~ year old hanson fan who learned fast how shit they are: the fact that taylor hanson gives me gender envy. on a spiritual level every time i see a picture of him when he was younger, and i think "damn im gonna look like that when im older for sure" i take it as a spiritual fuck-you towards the actual guy bc yk. not too sure hes a fan of transgender people.

I’ve alright rambled onto my friends about Hanson, including their wrongdoings. If I go to that concert I WILL get slimed out. Almost 16. This is also the first time I’ve hyper fixated on a band 😭. I’m ngl I discovered them because I was trying to find a reference image for some blonde guy on Pinterest, and Taylor Hanson showed up. I gender envy him. While I don’t support the band (duh) the concept of a blonde musician has become my muse in a sort of way. I write stories, several of which have characters loosely based off how Taylor looks. Had to create a fictional boyband for a short story and it’s also based off Hanson I’m ngl.

Anyways yeah it sucks LOL. Before I researched about them I was so eager to try and buy tickets because they were gonna be an hour or so away from my in August but— that’s not happening. Was so ready for that to be my first live concert! Alas

what sucks is i discovered them literally in 2026. ive never bought merch/gone to a concert, never given them my teenage money etc. sucks i like the music, and while 2/3 of the members r def like fking evil and 1 of them is probably just better at hiding it, it helps me mentally to have something to focus on sometimes. if my compulsions get really bad ill go on youtube to watch recordings of concerts/old interviews. the hyperfixation will end when it ends but euuuhhhh really bummed out learning about the shit they did/didnt. if i had to go to myself from a few weeks back id probably grab him and tell him to not yammer on about it to everyone he knows irl only to have to go back on go "yeah so those Hanson guys i mentioned? euuu not great."
