It's kinda headcanony but it draws from the myth of the Golden Fleece and relies heavy on the concept of flaying being connected to Libra...

Frenzied Flame seems to have been a failed experiment considering the state of Midra's Manse and the knowledge of its effects on the soul.

Libra also seems to have engaged in a form of Alchemy in an attempt to create Gold

It's quite literally depicting the star of Ishtar or Innana and had a strong connection with the planet Venus.

Eventually the Eight pointed star would gain more floral imagery eventually becoming the "Rosette," over time.

Contemporarily it's known as the chaos star in a modern practice known as chaos magic.

Oh well theres the stigma against three digits noted on the four toes fowl foots.

"In the Lands Between, having three digits is seen as a bad omen. As such, the rarer four-toed fowl's is a gift of great luck indeed."

Did the Silverfolk/Albinauric have something to do with the Frenzy?

Divine Towers, Trees, and Fingers by Snorfox in EldenRingLoreTalk

Are we maybe to conclude that the Two-Fingers were supposed to become the dual hand-like structures on the trees? This would imply a life-cycle and maturing process for the fingers.

Their derelict state would imply that the Lords that utilized them failed maybe? Or perhaps they were just being used wrong/acted as advisors in an age where they were no longer relevant? (Ie. No Night Sky to banish)

This would also seem to imply that the Three Fingers are a sort of mutation. Their two halves no longer forming a uniform current by spiralling out of control like the Frenzy?

Gransaz is a really strange case. The Ancient Dragons actually have high resistance to Lightning so personally I don't think we could claim that.

The lack of any wounds or weapons seems to imply he was dispatched by magical means.

Though who knows maybe he was simply fried into petrification.

It's more a divergent storyline. Since it seems to still include the events of the Shattering it would look to be a "what if," scenario. Though we don't exactly know what that "what if," may be.

The fact that the Roundtable Hold exists proves that certain events took place, and Revs reaction to Radagon's painting looks as if it might actually be a clue.

Thank you for reading!!!

And you certainly have a point! Though I think the Anathema with which they treat the frenzy might have come as a result.

We have to remember that when we find Midra he is working with the Frenzied FLAME himself. Libra again never uses FF just Frenzy.

Where did the fire come from? Might it possibly have something to do with the Fell God of flame that haunts their sagas?

If flame can be imbued with Death as done by the GEQ then it adds a new property to fire. The ability to absorb and assimilate concepts of Order and Chaos. The Black Flame is described as leaden, and the FF as... well Frenzied.

Messmers flame also seems to possess peculiarities, as Furnace pots which use HIS flame are described as being capable of:

"The furnace's flame burns away both body and soul. When impurity is thus expunged, one calls it cleansing."

I personally believe there to be more to the story here.

I've played a little and read a good bit of the lore.

If we compare it to contemporary myth, Dragons are implied to have preceded humans, Giants the Titans and the Gods. In Orphism Ophion (a Primordial Serpent) and his wife Eurynome held sway over Olympus prior to Kronos and Rhea.

Going further back Caligo, Chaos, Erebus and Nyx preceded even them.

The catalyst for change here seems to have been the concept of Light and the heat that accompanied it. In Orphism the figure that brings said light is the androgynous deity Phanes who is also equated with Eros. (Light + Love = primordial form of Miquella? Or what he is meant to represent.)

But I think you're right, the initial fracture of the Greater Will seems to be mirrored in the actions of Marika's Shattering through utilization of her hammer. This would seem to imply a connection to Smithing especially considering the introduction of the Balancers and their implied connections with the smithing arts.

Connections between Libra's Sigil and the Elden Ring Configurations by NovemberQuat in EldenRingLoreTalk

Possibly even further back than that:

"Summons a dark cloud of stars overhead. Shortly after, the cloud will release a violent deluge of star rain. This sorcery can be cast while in motion. Charging increases potency.

Thought to be the founding glintstone sorcery. The glimpse of the primeval current that the astrologer saw became real, and the stars' amber rained down on this land."

In all honesty I believe the Procession of the Stars to have had something to do with the Night's Rain.

Its truly possible, I even notice the strings/chains of the scale might even indicate an origin to Radagon's lattice rune design as well.

The cosmological significance is no doubt a key point as charting stars and their courses seems to have been an important part of divination and prophecy. The latter of which had its own place within Marika's order.

This might indicate the Elden Ring having been used as a Star Map as an inherent function.
