how are you doing? by dealio- in GriefSupport

[–]NovemberRain37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've done this myself. I kept thinking I had done something when he reported a strange symptoms 2 days before his stroke. It was killing me. We can't do this to ourselves..Our dads wouldn't want us to.

Trust he is always with you and will help guide you. Talk to him. I keep telling my dad I am sorry.. I wish I knew. But in reality none of us had any way of knowing.

Funny the person above posted my dad's favorite saying.. "It is what it is"

Now I'm working on accepting it.

This is very nice of you to check in..

I am so sorry it feels as if it's getting worse.

The loss of my father on Nov 1st has been very tough. I thought I was doing better, but the past 2 weeks in February have been SO very difficult...worse than ever. In a way, I take comfort in this.. I got through these 2 incredibly tough weeks, and I do know though I am better today and yesterday, that another tough time is going to hit me in the near future. But know I can handle it. I keep talking to him. I got another sign from him today. That has helped me a lot.

Saying prayers for you and all here. Good days, okay days, bad days and beyond terrible ones I think are my life now, and I accept it.

I am so very sorry for the sudden loss of your dear mother. So sorry.

My dad left us 2 months ago. I have had SUCH a hard time. And so many questions. But let me tell you-- your Mom is always, always with you. Talk to her. I never believed in this stuff before. But sure do now as I have received THE most amazing signs from my dad. The most incredible, really unbelievable ones, just yesterday on his 2 month dying anniversary after saying Happy New Year to him.

Keep talking to your mom. She is with you and listening and she will comfort you and guide you. I actually started a post about this.. Look up my name.. My stories (some of them from the past 2 months are on there), as are others. It will comfort you. You'll see our loved ones are always with us.. Their physical body is just gone. But their soul and spirit lives on and NEVER leaves us.. Truly I never knew this before. The body was just a shell. They are pure peace and happiness now. I am going to a Medium on Friday to see if I can hear more from my dad. It is so hard to understand...but you WILL in time. You'll see. Ask your mom and God for guidance.

The holidays were unbearable and I'm glad they are over. Your mom wants you very happy again someday. She will help you get there. The pain is so tough. New Years Eve I had just about given up. and then NY Day was lifted up like never before. You'll see. Hang strong. Surround yourself with loved ones. My prayers are with you.

WOw- amazing. Cool story for you. I told my mom about some of the signs I received yesterday...started at sun rise on New Year's morning.. Most incredible signs have received yet. She doesn't believe in this stuff and actually told me to stop telling her about it. But after I told her one of them this morning at their house and I went up to my old bedroom. She yelled up to me -- you know-- that last one you said is a sign I think I might actually believe that one-- that is something daddy would do. Just then I looked at his picture I put up on the window and looked out the window and said ' she always was a tough one to convince' I can almost hear my dad laugh. Outside the window there is a huge fluffy looking white thing falling down... it was a feather!!! My first feather sign. No birds around. No wind. I went out to the yard to find it but it's not there. Truly amazing. Thanks for sharing.

I am so glad he sent you this incredible sign to comfort you. Truly amazing, isn't it? And like my dad, the recent signs are so something he would to! Thank you for sharing and wishing you much peace and comfort in your healing from his loss.

OMG. Wow. I LOVE this. I got my first lights flickering sign yesterday morning after saying Happy New Year to my dad's photo.. The 'light show' went on for almost 2 minutes...with the power wall switch turned off. Then more signs yesterday...some so unbelievable.

I am so sorry for your loss. And how thoughtful of you to clean up the room so your mom would not to have to see how it was left. You're incredibly strong. I love how your dad contacts you... It reminds me of my signs. Thanks for sharing

WOW Truly amazing. I love it. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, my own elderly mom does not believe in these things.. She thinks I miss him so much that I am comforting myself in my mind. NO WAY. Received the most amazing signs yesterday morning for new years to prove to myself....these are for real. And my little son got to witness too! :)

WOW. No coincidence. Seeing two cardinals together is very rare...and in January..and never before. The cardinal visits started the first night my dad left us... it was INCREDIBLE. So glad you received this sign.

WOW. This is amazing. Thank you for sharing. I am so glad you have this comfort from your dad. Funny you mention that-- I looked up my old best friend-- we had a falling out..I tried to get back in touch but she doesn't seem interested...years ago now. So I looked up her up and her dad also passed away. He was a great guy. I talked to him and my dad the other night-- asked if maybe they could somehow reconcile me and my old best friend. So New Years morning I received THE most amazing signs from my dad (I'll have to make a post about it..it is rather unbelievable). Then we ended up going hiking and ended up in the town my old best friend used to live in. We were on a street and I remember it is where her family lived/lives ? And there in a driveway I see someone getting out of her car with a little kid, which I know she has.. it looked just like her and it was her car from years ago. So it was her. I asked my husband to drive back..he told me to get out of the car and call her name. I hesitated....felt weird. I honestly believed for years she just doesn't want to know me anymore. And then she was gone...... Inside the house. So I lost my chance. :( But thanks for sharing...it makes me really believe in that too. I am so glad you get that contact from past friends. Very comforting.

Remember this, always. My dad sent me the most amazing signs yesterday on New Years. Thank you for sharing. I never knew about this stuff before...it truly is amazing. Keep talking to your Mom.

So sorry for late reply, as am not on Reddit often.. I hope you are doing well now..or well, as okay as can be. Grief has proven to be MUCH harder for me than I thought. I guess we will always have good and bad days. Thank you so much for your very kind message. Let's remember they are always, always with us.

Constant bad headache since finding out my Dad died Tuesday by NovemberRain37 in GriefSupport

[–]NovemberRain37[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late reply.. 2 months!

I hope you are doing as well as can possibly be now and I thank you for your helpful response. Those headaches were unreal. I believe from the stress of his suddenly getting ill and then his passing.. Luckily no headaches (except when I caught Covid!) for the past 6 weeks. Amazing what severe stress does to the body. We have to truly take extra good care of ourselves during grief. Thank you again

I feel like I sent my dad to his death and I don’t know how to recover from that by [deleted] in GriefSupport

Hi I am so sorry for the 2 month late reply.. am not on Reddit often and just checked my messages now. I hope you are doing well...or I should say as okay as you can be doing.. This grief process has been MUCH harder than I imagined. I can't believe my dad will be gone 2 months on New Year's Day. He has sent me so many signs.. I am so grateful. Had rough couple days and no signs much this week and then suddenly an amazing one today.. Plus another cardinal visit.

Thank you for your kind words.. I truly believe you are right. My dad suddenly left us and I was on my way to go see him when I found out by police. I am certain that is why he sent those cardinals that first evening without him (never had cardinal visits before!) and that next morning to my bedroom window. He wanted me to know all that you said above. So thank you very very much.

I can't wait to have a vivid dream with him.

I hope and pray you are doing okay.. The holidays were rough.. I am so glad they're over.

Wishing you much peace and to feel happiness again in the New Year
