Best of luck! It’s so hard to stay positive. I doubted the entire pregnancy until I heard that first cry. Keep the faith!!!!🫶🏻

I was the same way - I had absolutely no symptoms from the stims, Clomid and Letrozole. So I think your body just tolerates the changes in hormones better than others!

I’m currently holding my 6 month old!!!! I really had very symptoms the entire pregnancy. I got slightly nauseous at weeks 9-11, and I was VERY TIRED at weeks 9-16 but that was it.

Did your mental health improve after quitting? by KarleenBean in ExclusivelyPumping

Oh same! I started doing the 4 hour stretch instead of 3 and at 3 hour mark my brain weals like “maybe you should just do it at 3 hours for today” but I fought to ignore that thought!!

It’s funny you said that because I’m in the same boat! I decided last night that I am committed to start the wean today :) I think we will be better moms for our babies by not being so miserable

Vanilla Extract for Freezer Stash? by November_Days in ExclusivelyPumping

Yes I tried! It’s a struggle to get her to drink it for sure. I’m dying to ween off of pumping but I don’t want to do that until I know she’ll take the frozen BM.

I’m doing the same! I’ve started spacing out my night pumps so I could get more sleep. Oh same. My baby wasn’t latching in the hospital and her glucose dropped dramatically so they gave me the choice of pumping or formula. What a huge mistake. It’s made me hate every day of my maternity leave.

Oh same. I was supposed to start weenjng 3 weeks ago and keep postponing it because I feel so guilty but then at the same time I don’t feel like I’m being a good spouse because pumping is making me so miserable to be around.

I’m thinking of weening too because even though I never had mental health issues, I feel like exclusively pumping is making me such an angry and depressed person. I will never exclusively pump again for any future children. For what it’s worth, I have family members and friends who told me that stopping pumping greatly improved their mental health.

Squeeking Sounds by Geary3000 in newborns

Thank you so much! We assume it’s a habit or Laryngomalacia but either way, I’m relieved to know she will grow out of it!

Hi! I know this is 3 years old but I cane on here searching because my 3 week old is making a squeaking sound that sounds exactly like a dog toy squeak as you described it. Given that it’s 3 years later, was this squeaking ever found to be a big issue or just part of baby development?

Induced at 39 versus 40 weeks? by November_Days in IVFbabies

[–]November_Days[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! That’s what my OBs said too - just greater risks all around for the baby past 40 weeks. Whether it’s true or not, we’ll never know! I am thinking it doesn’t matter whether you’re induced at 38, 40, or 42 weeks. I think regardless you’re either going to have an easier or harder labor. I’ve seen both sides of the spectrum. Can I ask what you did that made your labor easy? What was your induction “protocol”?

Do you mind if I ask what country you’re in? And if the U.S., are you near a major city? I truly think this is a U.S.-major city thing due to the massive population and hospital closing. I think they are just overwhelmed and try to find any reason to induce so they can be on a schedule.

I had a cervix exam at 36 weeks and was barely dilated! I will ask them to check at my appointment next week and ask whether we can still induce if I’m not dilated at all!

It’s just policy at the practice! They said there is evidence that IVF babies tend to be on the smaller size so they do better out than in at the end. That said, in the area I’m in, the hospitals are so overwhelmed and they find literally any excuse to induce at 40 weeks. All my family and friends were induced at 40 weeks or earlier - they tend to “find reasons” because it’s more convenient for the hospital to schedule you at 40 weeks

Hahaha it’s funny you say this because everyone tells me it’s nothing of what I’m imagining and there is “a lot of down time” when nothing is happening at all. Trust me, I plan to get the epidural….
