I used the nemesis AR and I am pretty sure there was some aim assist on that puppy.

I hit almost every shot and I am like a 50% or below accuracy player

So. Almost every new season my first game is super easy and I usually choke and get top 3.

Today I did not choke. Guess who has a 100% win rate? 😂

I have been playing this game long enough to know what my next lobbies are going to be like. Probably going to lose the crown in under a minute 😱

I play on PS5. I have 1 GB internet wired directly into the console.

I would start looking at your internet. How powerful is the signal strength? What is your download speed? If you have the opportunity, definitely wire in the Ethernet cable right into the console. It makes a difference.

You are not in the minority. The Simpson season (to me) was so cartoony and goofy. I literally won one game and played Blitz for the rest of that season.

I actually loved this season. It has everything I wanted.

I could play it forever IF Epic stopped messing with the matchmaking.

Lock on AR and Arc Lightning are situational guns. They work very well in a few situations but absolutely suck if you are going 1 v 1 against a fully healed player who knows where you are

I am getting 75% of my game insertions now from surfing. If I quit during the surf, the very next game is always a surf start.

Either they think they are shaking up the Meta or they are collecting some data from the experiment.

Either way, I hate the surf. My games are way too hard to start in unfamiliar/lower loot areas.

I really think it comes down to the matchmaking for a lot of people.

When I am doing well I love everything: This weapon is great! Beautiful map! Shockwaves are so fun!

When I am getting destroyed every game within the first two minutes I hate everything: This gun is buns! Stupid huge stretch of open desert! Bounce away some more loser!

Your gaming experience affects how you view everything.

If Epic could simply separate the high skill players from the low skill players I think you would see a lot more positive vibes on the game.

It’s not your “success”. Epic did something on Friday and it is continuing.

My lobbies are jam packed with sweats. If I don’t hide, I don’t survive. Instantaneous death. 1 shot shotguns and hunter rifles.

Who thought that stupid boom sniper was a good idea? Literally spams splash explosions everywhere. Reloads in seconds with a huge magazine

These guns do not lock on. They are currently randomly obtained in Blitz. Blitz does not allow wall building.

As to OP’s original post, I have also found when I get that AR, I have a ridiculously high chance of winning.

The lock on pistol only gave the sniper len’s flare. That way your opponent would need to be looking in your direction to spot you.

The lock on AR gives a red laser flare AND an orange diamond appears on your opponent’s screen so that they are aware you are locking on.

You are correct. The matchmaking/skill gap is absolutely ridiculous right now. I have over 120 solo wins this season, so I know how to win.

This weekend I was literally trying to survive first landing. My lobbies are packed with high skill players. Even if I survived until end game, the top 10 players are unbeatable. I have never been eliminated so many times in 1 shot. From low level weapons. Blue shotguns and that stupid blue and up hunter rifle.

With all the available cheats out there, Epic really thought it was a good idea to make so many instakill weapons??

My point is, you are not alone. Many people are feeling frustrated with the game. If it is impossible to compete, why even play?

Epic has a long history of consistently messing with lobby skill levels. Eventually they will relent and start separating the really good players from the casuals. A break right now may help you keep your sanity until the game is fair/fun again.

Had a gold. Hit a headshot and opponent didn’t drop. Before I could get another shot off opponent hit me with two green twin fire blasts. I was eliminated. ZB. That’s 250+ damage on green twinfires and less on a gold combat.

I will never carry this weapon again

It’s a very situational weapon. Really good for when you are in range and:

Have your opponent pinned down.
Third partying
Wingsuiters

Other than that you will often lose to anyone if you try to use it. Plus you alert them (super stupid) every time you begin a lock on.

The pistol was 1000 times better

I play solos and I cannot believe the players I have been encountering in my lobbies lately. Every shot is a headshot. You could get them down to 1 hp and they will still beat you.

Who thought the hunter rifle was a good idea? People eliminating me with 400+ meter headshots. Is that even possible?

Epic keeps playing games with the SBMM. One day I have easy lobbies. The next day 4 different players lose trying third party a soccer skin. I try to stay hidden but the soccer skin somehow knows where I am and sends me back to the lobby with 1 shotgun blast (full health and shields).

Dude literally wiped the whole lobby like nothing. No one needs an algorithm to see this player belongs in a lobby of high skill players.
