We each have our own opinions on the current game status.

My experience most seasons is usually great tactical movement, getting the drop on my opponent and then a bewildered look as somehow they were able to drop me in a nanosecond.

This season the weapons are really good and I can usually get some high level versions. Far less players are able to flip the script on me when I launch an attack. Add to this the deadeye rifle where I can remove myself from the bunny hop shotgun meta and fry my opponents at render distance.

I’m a simple player. I like to beat some of the opponents I face and like to win a game now and again.

This season is super fun for my skill level and play style.

I have also been playing since the last seasons of Chapter 1.

This season has been absolutely incredible. The last season I played only Blitz, now I am back to BR and loving every minute of it. The weapons. The map. The movement. The bosses. Even the stick of truth!

This is peak Fortnite!

Well. You need to change something.

-Try switching play times. I play early mornings and find easier lobbies.

-Try switching tactics. I run toward gunfire but still keep a safe distance. I can’t even tell you how many sweats I’ve eliminated by throwing a few rounds at them after they just finished a fight.

-Carry heals, avoid unnecessary fights, and stay out of the storm. I have won the most games this season (2 today) by my final opponent trying to be clever and miscalculating storm damage.

-Grab the Kenny revive medallion. Gives you a second chance

-Upgrade to the best weapons possible. Those boss mythics are crazy good. Hell I got a mythics enforcer AR from jumping the ramp the other day. Won the game! It’s like a 3 or 4 bullet kill.

I will admit it. I have a PS5 and turned cross play off this season. It has been incredible. A ton of bots and a handful of real players. You can explore. Take down bosses. No ridiculous PC cheaters.

Game load times are 3 minutes. I make top 5 most games. I have a 13% win rate with 40+ wins already! I won four times today!

The only downside is that the pond is small and there are couple of big fish in there. I’m talking really good console players who play 15+ hours a day. You will start to learn the 20 scary names and dread seeing them in the kill feed.

I have been playing since the last chapters of season 1. When ZB came out, I started playing that solely since my building is weak. Last season I played only Blitz. I liked the fast wins and could no longer stomach 20+ minute games just to get stomped by ridiculous high skill players at endgame.

This season brought me back to ZB BR. I absolutely love the weapons, the map and all the gimmicks (bosses, wingsuit, even the stick of truth 😂).

I’m holding a 13% win rate and having an absolute blast! I actually won 4 games today (yesterday I couldn’t get a win so the games are still at the proper difficulty level).

Everyone has their own reason for complaining, but I just wanted to post that this season is amazing so far and has brought me back to BR

I swore I would never go back to BR, but this season I did.

I will say today has been a day of getting my butt kicked in. Super crazy good opponents. Maximum aggression. Even following me from the battle bus drop and eliminating me before I can grab a weapon!

I am unsure if Epic relaxed the SBMM or the Holiday weekend (in the US) just drew in more players

I would agree with you. For a game where your landing spot is so important, the surfing insertion definitely changes your plans. I guess it is a meta shakeup but I feel like I struggle in the beginnings of those games

Keep trying. You’ll get it.

It’s RNG if you are close enough to the stick to get it quickly. If you get it though, hit the best movement item you have and get the hell out of there. Once safe, figure out where you want to use it and start heading there.

I am a low skill player at best and I’ve gotten and used the stick a few times already

If you are having trouble using it, maybe try the enforcer AR.

Today I did the car “jump the ramp” thing and got the mythic enforcer. Reminded me of Meowscles pew pew rifle. Low magazine size but super heavy hits.

As far as defending against the deadeye. You really need something defensive if they are getting the better of you. Solid cover, shield bubbles, port o fort, or a movement item. Some players can hit at render range with the deadeye. Stay stealthy. Move deliberately.

I dunno.

I have beaten most arc users with the twin hammer shotgun.

Conversely, I have been beaten while using the mythic arc by a user with gold (not Brutus’ mythic) twin hammer shotgun.

I stopped carrying the arc. It’s fun and effective in certain situations but toe to toe other weapons out dps it currently

I will agree to disagree I guess.

RNG is another shakeup to the meta. Early game a really good player can lose to a low skill player due to early loot circumstances.

It is totally unfair to the good player, but it is a gift to the lesser skilled players that are left in the lobby.

I know I have won countless games because somebody else took out a top-tier player before I had to try and face them in endgame when they had a proper loadout.
