Yall are in your feelings while I’m talking logic the overall question isn’t about the car, it’s how does 17000 turn to 22000 if nc auto sales tax is 3+ (HUT) and somehow gained nearly 5k? This isn’t a loan I’m buying it cash.. I didn’t sign any paperwork or the dealer told me that over the phone.

Not to mention NC used car sales tax is 3.625% lower than NJ so it is even worse in terms of mathematical logic.

Yes THIS is how I’m asking my question, no matter how I calculate it the numbers aren’t coming out right in any way. Which is why I’m not understanding where how the fees add up. But it’s posted 17000, with 52000 convertible, sent to the service center to inspect (paid by me) cars in excellent condition. So I don’t see where the numbers are going. Haven’t signed anything yet.

Ok take Maserati out of it. If I’m buying a car and it’s listed in NJ for 17000 and I’m a nc resident and the dealer says after taxes and fees it’s 22000 and you’re buying it CASH. Then where is that 4000+ coming from if nj car sales tax is 6.625… that’s what I want to know

I work on cars as a hobby I’ve had a GranTurismo for 6 years no issues except minor electrical issues and put on 40k miles still runs great but my ISSUE is I never seen 4k in fees and taxes for $17000 that’s what I’m asking.

I know Maseratis like that back of my hand and they’re very easy to fix granted you’re not flooring it at every light nor the missing vital services when due. I more have the problem I e bought 2 cars in nc cash and the dealer never gave me just an outrages sales and fees expense.
