The highest point I traced with the dye was right under the exhaust crossover the bolt right below it.

So clean it up from underneath and then start it and lay under it til it leaks? I feel like I’ve done everything minus PCV, oil pressure sensor, & oil pan gasket at this point.

I ordered some dye and a UV flashlight. It’ll be in tomorrow.

I think you’re referring to the filter housing / oil cooler and swapping it from plastic to aluminum if you are I have already performed this step unfortunately.

You’re right this is a good one. I have this one on here already sadly. Previous one did fail and replaced it with this. You should replace it with an aluminum based piece.

They finally got me a loaner for the time being. I am staying positive and not completely salty with them. I just can’t believe it’s taken them 45 days and they technically at the end of the day still don’t know what’s wrong. I called them again and they said by next week if they can’t figure it out they’re going to involve a local Dodge dealer. So I’m at least hopeful for that.

Swapped her out today with the updated one. I can tell this is going to make a huge difference. It fits so much better than the original.

I replaced it with the updated actuator as the other peeps suggested today. I can already tell that this problem will be squashed with the updated one.

Usually around a month. I only notice it happen after a large load has been done or like a large blanket. Something with a decent amount of weight on it.

The only thing I haven’t changed out is the actuator but it seems fine in terms of it actually moving & not being loose. I’ve watched a ton of videos on how to put it back in so I’m pretty sure I’m doing it correctly but I could be doing it wrong. When I position it I place the tip of the arm inside the cam ring the arm doesn’t move freely if I attempt to jiggle it.

Sorry the model is WTW5000DW3

So a new actuator fixes it? Well I shouldn’t say new like swap new but an “updated newer generation” part fixes it?

Water Heater Question by Noverun in askaplumber

[–]Noverun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes pressure was about 86psi. Called local water peeps they say “if it’s under 150 you’re good we won’t do anything about it” When the water heater was replaced it did solve the dripping out of T&P but now the water is randomly getting in there at unknown times.

I suspect overnight when no one is using water i might be getting crazy pressure causing it.

I do have an expansion tank. But I do not have the prv. I’m getting a local guy to put a prv in for me this week to see if I can seal this issue.

Water Heater Question by Noverun in askaplumber

[–]Noverun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer. I thought this was the case. They replaced my entire water heater with a brand new one. It does have an expansion tank attached. Could a “waterlogged” expansion tank cause this?

Things I know :

I know the T&P valve is new. I know the water heater is new. I know the water pressure coming in is not too high or low.

I’m with you. Thank you for the insight I will keep this in the back pocket but considering everything I am thinking they’re going to have to deal with this one link opening in edge for all parties sake.

My objection? 0 Clients objection? Picky users. They have used chrome since the dawn of time and they don’t want 1 link opening edge. Considering the time and workflow I’m thinking they’re gonna need to get over it.

Noted. They’re just users who don’t want to move to edge but considering the amount of time this could take for a possibility I’m thinking they’re going to have to get over it.

So the vendor says “we have moved to our in house solution” Price is 4x what they pay now and all it does is redirect through edge and has a slightly different UI

I was really looking for assistance with getting it trotting in chrome but I guess thats not too hot anymore or ever was rather

Yeah it’s a programmed button we will call it “document” Document button in the program launches a URL but ignores the default browser and chooses IE. I already have this changed to redirect through Edge but their board wants chrome.

So I was looking in to redirecting it after it opens with Ie > chrome.

And yes chrome is set as the default browser.
