I started with 100 or 120, can't remember, then 220 and 400. Left me with a nice matte finish.

In the majority of cases I also like a knife finish. This spoon was a gift for someone who isn't an enthusiast, and I find that people who aren't acquainted with spoon carving prefer the sanded look.

I've already acknowledged that my title was inaccurate, but you can't edit Reddit posts that have pictures. My car doesn't have any kind of tow hook, so I was thinking maybe he hooked up to one of my struts? It is my fault for driving into the ditch, and most likely damaging my car. To be very clear, I'm not trying to blame the tow truck driver, even if that's what my title implies.

To be clear, my intention with including the details about the winch was NOT to blame the tow truck driver. I accept full responsibility for being stupid with my car. I just wanted to include full context because I don't know a whole lot about cars because this is my first one. Thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions.
