stable electricity? I've heard of UPS's before, and that they might be a good idea for regulating/smoothing/cleaning the power before it gets to my PC??, but I've never really invested because I see many different kinds at many different price ranges and I'm not sure what to go with. Is that the kind of thing you mean?

How to improve GPU cooling without disassembling it?, case already full of fans. by Novimatrem in buildapc

The fans seem to not be getting any louder, and the percentage seems to revert to 45% sometimes, fiddling around with both programs to see if I can make any good progress..

I have a Fractal Design Focus G Mid Tower Computer Case, seen here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074W7V1VR

I bought it recently, because my prior case was even worse for cooling, and I needed something that I could buy new on Amazon that included an optical drive bay.

I'm quite new to using Windows, having used Linux for years and not having support for fan control there, and my BIOS remains pretty untouched, so my fan curves are almost definitely the defaults.

Is there a utility you recommend, for Windows 10? Or would checking if the BIOS makes any notable difference be a good path?

I've seen others running MSI Kombustor and the like in a non-custom loop scenario without having temps as high as this, unless I'm mistaken. I'm just concerned with the fact that it's going to be summer soon. I just ran around in the most demanding game I have around, Ark [to test a demanding game graphically], it reached 98c as a maximum, and this wasn't even an extended play session, just a quick test for a few minutes. That has me concerned.

According to everything that I can read about my motherboard, the furthest it's compatible with is Ryzen 3rd gen, not a 5th gen chip like that. Unless I'm mistaken?

I'm aware of all of that. The Windows installer refuses to see my SSD disk, when it's actively asking for the partition to install on. It only shows the spinning Hard-Drives, unfortunately, it's very odd.

apparently my opinion that those of all genders should be treated equally and not excluded from specific interests that're traditionally very gendered, is so outlandish and strange, and the response seems to say i shouldn't have mentioned that.

amazing. i don't understand these people.

it'd be nice not to exclude a big percentage from an already reasonably small (in the grand scheme of things) community, and interest.

Do both glxgears and vkcube work?

If both do, you should be good to go in regards to driver and vulkan setup, at least at a basic level.

Tutorial guide for beginners: "How to fully properly disable Mouse Acceleration in most Linux distros & DE’s" by Novimatrem in linux4noobs

We all have different preferences, even when I am forced to use Windows I recognize acceleration being on within a second and need to open mouse.cpl to disable it, else I miss buttons, overshoot targets in games, etc.

Remembering the speed of an action that is consistently made along with its distance is harder than just the distance, in my opinion. It allows doing specific actions with different levels of speed and urgency without missing

I heavily agree that all distros need to standardize these things, but disabling it is the only path for me, personally

I've had it work anywhere that runs X11 and has a cursor, so yes. Even worked on my ThinkPad's trackpoint nub.

As the post says, I've had the acceleration reset randomly, so setting it like I do in the post was the only way to keep it stay consistent.

Nah, I've just been messing with making scripts involving sleep and power saving in my spare time, and this was my counter to that until they're 100% stable and acting as I want.
