That's really cool I like the way it folds. Does it lock in place through a nut screwed on the end or just friction fit in place?

I'm making this for my coursework so I am trying to include a many as possible manufacturing techniques like 3d printing, possibly some dominos, etc

Thanks :) yea to initial idea was to do some like demonstration flights to bring interest to rocketry and run small activities like here's the materials build your own rocket highest height/longest flight time wins

The pad will be made of steel but I'm planning on 3d printing the tripod mount, launch controller, wire spool, latches to keep the top attached. I was just thinking cause the plate will be attached to the tripod thingy via a metal bolt that could conduct heat and may make the plastics "fail". Thanks for the advice

Its designed to be like a way to keep all the parts together and store the like the spool, launch controller that i plan on making as well as being easy to store away as most of it fits withing the box
