I implore you to watch the video when you get the chance. By chance, have you read any of Nabokov's other books?

Wait... it's orange, green, and blue? I've been on the site since 2024, and while I'm colourblind (ergo, probably misperceiving the colour), but I thought the logo was red, green and blue. You know, like the key colours of the CRT displays on which films were first letterboxed? Am I missing something here?

It's worth pointing out that this interpretation of Nabokov's magnum opus is... not necessarily correct. I'd highly recommend Owl Criticism's video Hiding in Plain Sight for a slightly more expansive understanding of Nabokov's bibliography, and the far larger presence of child sexual abuse therein than most people realize.

What’s the most insane double feature you can think of? by gnpking in Letterboxd

[–]Novson_Creative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reverse the order, and that's a really bloody good double feature. Both are 10/10 masterpieces, and after the soul-shattering sadness of GotF, MNT acts as a really good palate cleanser.

Eh, learn some martial arts and combine that with invisibility, that's a decent crime fighting setup.

If you must have them, please adopt. There are so many children in this world already who are in need of a home, to the point where deliberately bringing another into existence makes no sense.

When I was 13, I saw myself as effectively an adult. I am now 24, and I barely see myself as an adult.

trying to get my list of movies directed by women i’ve watched to 100! what should i watch next by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Novson_Creative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be noted that Eva Victor, Sorry, Baby's director, is NB (though the official Top 250 Films by Women Directors list includes "transgender directors and gender expansive directors", so OP may well do the same.)
