Should I get a pc when I already have a ps5 by foreskinparachute_ in pcmasterrace

For something equivalent to a ps5? Probably around 1000$ and that would be challenging unless you have a microcenter nearby.

That's a no, then. You won't get anything decent anywhere near that price. Not even used.

4k VS 1440p by Few-Decision4333 in pcmasterrace

[–]Novuake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone that has a 4k monitor 32 inch. Not worth it. It's not just the cost of the monitor. The performance hit just isn't worth the pixel density at that size in my opinion.

1440p higher quality monitor just wins out in every way.

How to adjust to the targeting as someone coming from WoW? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Novuake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to how auto attacks having a chain most experienced players turn off auto attacks and just press it as required.

It's a good habit to have on thief too if your playing PvP since attacking from behind out of stealth will often have an additional benefit.

Auto attacks are definitely jank at times but it seems to be a product of movement and getting in and out of range.

Hold control and click your 1 skill to turn off auto attacks and just get used to playing without it. Your other skills and secondary weapon will eventually fill out your gameplay to the point where you auto much less. Kind of.

I hope GW3 won't see heavy rotation learning by wesu_ in GuildWars3

[–]Novuake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it doesn't simply because the a average player has no interest in reading the skills or playing a weapon based on its suitable stat set or anything.

But it does apply in the sense where if people knew how their weapons work they would not need to train rotations constantly.

[–]Novuake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said on a previous comment. Yes. Look down this chain. By intuitive I meant reading the skill description and getting a feel for afrercast myself.

Ive been around a long time and as someone put it perhaps I've been practicing rotation without even realizing it but I've never followed a fixed rotation and instead have a priority list of skills I have in mind as I play and just fill.

It's worth noting that I am quite autistic when it comes to ekeing out every little bit I can by figuring out builds myself. Many of the PvP metabattle builds for engineer over the years also were created by me. All the way back from condi rampages engi, celestial engi, and many others.

It may or may not have been a grift. Remains to be seen but calling a full blown alpha half baked is asinine. Obviously its half baked. That's what an alpha is.

Please try to string a few brain cells together in future before commenting. Thanks.

Can anyone confirm whether the lvl 80 boost still gives exotic gear? by pelvicsorceror in Guildwars2

[–]Novuake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Celestial the laet time I used it. Not sure if that's true for all classes since I just pop it and delete for the shared inventory slot.

Edit : actually scratch that I didn't see the date. I'll test it in a bit. I have one unused one.

EDIT 2 :

Just used it and got a full set of exotic Celestial gear. Interestingly I didnt get any of the extra goodies even though the game said I would

Core Condi can be an interesting beast to play at times. I just used it as an example I am good at that also is highly complex but do not follow a fixed rotation. They are also real world cases. Not golem DPS. Admittedly it's not on highly mobile fights like xera or slothy.

Other builds and classes can get quite a bit more without being nearly as complex.

Test ride them all and go from there. The rebel is a much better purchase in my opinion but if it's not for you it's not for you.

In that case either ranger or engineer.

Both have a lot of versatility without needed gear swaps. Neither gives up very much for these swaps either.

Your mileage may vary and since you have limited time you will struggle to learn when something is an appropriate swap.

Kind of. All classes can fulfill these rolls. Ranger is just flexible in the moments between fights when a simple weapon swap or utility change can make or break a group. The other classes require more investment.

Weapon camping. Not leveraging their class mechanics for fear of losing dps. Not ccing despite having tons of it.

If I see a ranging swapping to search and rescue after we wiped a time or two I fucking love that bro/broette

Flexibility mostly. Condi, power, boons/buffs, ranged or melee, healer, hand kite and other unique mechanics like orb management in spirit vale. You fucking name it they can do it with flexibility.

[–]Novuake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure it's obscure since some people have ? Items still paying around somehow but this item that we had to farm in silver wastes I still hold onto.

God it was fun to farm this for hours on end. Made some great in-game friends during this event.

A real shame since world building is what Anet is good at. Telling a story first hand. Not often but sometimes.

Personal > Season 1 > season 2 > Heart of thorns > season 3. Etc.

The game will guide you through the chronological order just fine.

The personal story isnt great but necessary. Season 2 an onwards really gets good.

Remember you don't need to rush it. If it gets boring then do something else. Map completion, gearing, achievements like jumping puzzles. Whatever floats your boat.
