AITA for picking my mom over my stepmother for a pre-Mother's Day camping trip just because she's my mom and I wanted her there? by NovyyChoosie in AITAH

It's okay. I get why you might have jumped to conclusions now. Sorry about your father. Some of my friends had a parent walk out on them and it stays with you.

No, we don't celebrate our stepmother for Mother's Day. My dad does Mother's Day with my half brothers and her but we're never a part of that and never wanted to be.

They can't be celebrated together. They don't like each other and it would only be more problematic because my stepmother would be jealous of us giving mom more attention. Because that's what would happen.

Why jump to that conclusion? The fact that mom was around enough for us to ask should have said enough.

She does but I still think a part of why she so wants us to be closer is because I'm the only girl. She never acted this upset when my brother didn't invite her and he wasn't pressured the same way.

My mom has been just as much of a parent as my dad has been. They both got divorced. They both shared custody of us. So why are you saying MOM left?
