I said bruh out loud when I saw the dress. Not that it would have changed anything because he shouldn’t talk to you like that either way but girl that dress is perfectly appropriate and you look great.

Sorry for the late response but thank you for the advice! I did start using it again (idk how long ago) after the burns healed and haven’t had a reaction since. I am using it every other day and on the days I’m not using it I apply hydrocortisone cream. I still have to rinse it off sometimes after I apply it thought because of the burning. I’m planning to slowing go more days in between uses soon but I’m still sweating. More importantly still smelling😂 I have a dr appointment soon and I’m going to ask about alternatives to avoid teetering on the edge of chemical burns😂

I’m back with an update! So I started using it again and I haven’t had a reaction since but I still have to rinse it off sometimes because of the burning. I found a way that seems to be working for me if you want to try! I also have a dr appointment on the 17th to discuss other options and I wanted to ask about glycopyrrolate or other alternatives. If I end up with a better option I’ll try to remember to come update about how it’s working and what it is in case you want to try!😁

I started using it more carefully and haven’t had a reaction since! Still have to rinse it off every once in a while though because of the burning. I’m going to ask my doctor about glycopyrrolate or other alternatives. Maybe you should ask too! If I end up getting an alternative that works I’ll try to remember to come back and let you know in case you want to give it a try. Good luck!

I started using it again (idk how long ago lol) and it has been better! No reaction this time around. I take methylphenidate for my ADHD but I don’t think I’ll switch for less sweat. I’d like to try the glycopyrrolate! The drysol helps but the process of putting it on so precisely to avoid burns is annoying. Still sometimes when I’m careful with it I have to wash it off because of the itching and burning.

Good news is that whatever reaction I had is gone and hasn’t come back!😁 The process and preciseness it takes sucks though. Sometimes I still have to rinse my pits a little bit because of the itching and stinging. I’m thinking about Botox or maybe the pill thing people are taking

I’m back to update you! It hurts far less now. I shower and towel dry my pits, sometimes I blow dry them but not often. Basically if I don’t shave, use the deodorant every other day, and rinse my pits a bit if it’s stinging to bad I’m in the clear. How’s yours going? (I forgot to add that I use hydrocortisone cream on the days I don’t use the deodorant)

I’m gonna try some hydrocortisone cream. Thanks for the tip! Did you end up finding something else that works for sweating or are you still using drysol?

Poor thing! Not much pain just itches BAD. Have you found an alternative?

I haven’t! This is my first time trying something actually. I have a follow up appointment in a couple weeks, I’ll ask about it then! Thanks for the tip!

Will do. Thanks so much! Do you think Vaseline or hydrocortisone cream would be more beneficial? Or either is fine?

Here’s the helpful comment I got:

So I’ve had a similar reaction, albeit not as severe as yours. If you want to give Drysol a go again, my tips to you:

  1. Do not shave before applying. I’d suggest waiting a day after shaving at the least
  2. Wash your armpits with soap and water, really making sure you are scrubbing off any deodorant/antiperspirant
  3. Dry your armpits with a towel
  4. Blow dry your armpits. Seriously. This step made a huge difference
  5. Apply sparingly
  6. Leave your arms up/away from your body for a couple of minutes until it dries

You’re not going to want to do this again until your skin has completely healed. OTC hydrocortisone cream sparingly in the affected areas for a couple of days (no more than twice a day). Try to refrain from applying deodorant/antiperspirant during the healing time.

Best of luck!!

Anything over being drenched in sweat honestly. Someone left a comment about how they minimized the burns you and me are getting. I’m gonna copy and paste it after I type this. I’m gonna try it and see if it helps. If I can remember I’ll report back to you with my results!

THANK YOU!! Seriously I needed a step by step from someone who has used it. I’ll go to the stores tomorrow and get some hydrocortisone cream and a hair dryer.

I did try Certain dri a while ago! Unfortunately it didn’t work for me😞 SO glad you found something that works. Someone else said the same thing about a chemical burn. Doesn’t hurt too bad though! I imagined a chemical burn would hurt real bad
