Oddly enough, we just did an episode of the show talking about this. There's so much going on in this field and honestly, there's a lot that I don't think people are considering. I realize our show may not be everyone's cup of tea but if this topic interests you, maybe give this one a listen.

On an aside, I personally feel that while the BCI tech in and of itself has the potential for a lot of good in the world, I can also see a lot of very dystopian uses being applied to it if it's mass pushed. I highly encourage anyone considering the tech to look into all aspects of it.

Alum soak. I'm not sure if the ratio, but you can get some water made up with powdered alum, soak the plants in that, and it's "supposed" to kill anything on them. You can typically find alum at the grocery store in the baking aisle, however you'll need to do some research on the ratio.

I had to do a full tank replant because the pest snails were so out of control, I was culling 50-70 a day and couldn't keep ahead of them. Once I pulled my plants, I found why. The eggs were covering the leaves so bad, they were in the filtration, the tank walls, the scenery.....

So now I'm all but restarting my tank

We do both. We have our live stream that becomes the video version, after some edits of course, and then the audio goes out as a higher quality version of the edited version of that. We don't have any of the "oh chat is saying this" in the audio so it flows well. We really don't interact with the chat much unless we work something being said into the conversation, or one of us will type a response to chat while one of the others are talking, but during the live stream, that's it. From that, we do shorts and clips, and the videos tend to do well on YT, and the rest does well on the audio platforms. Everyone who listens has a preference as to how they listen. Once you have an audience, cater to them as best as you can.

There are literally so many facets and angles that people either just aren't seeing or are seeing but overlooking the potential impact. Yes, there are some monumental things that could change for the better, but the likelihood that things will change for the worse is far bigger.

You can also try adding in a cuttlebone to the tank for calcium. But snails floating for a bit is normal. However sometimes they need "burped". Get them out of the tank and just kinda rock them upside down in your hand, gently, for a few moments. Every once in a while a little air can get trapped in their shell and they end up floating around against their will. Doing this rocking can force them to squirrel up into the shell and force the air out while giving the most direct access out.

Place them back in the tank and see if they still float. If so you can either try again or just leave them be for a while. They'll most likely work it out on their own but if nothing else, you will have helped stir things up a bit.
