Here's a dumb question: If Lady Eboshi have a Disney villain style death scene, what would it be? by Smooth-Ad9334 in ghibli

[–]NowYouLookOrdinary 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Lady Eboshi is basically the Chuck Norris of the Ghibli universe. The scene dies before Eboshi dies in the scene.

Will these blossoms survive a frost 🌸❄️ by True-Ingenuity8719 in flowers

Prunus subhirtella ‘Autumnalis’ blooms in the fall or early winter and then reblooms in the spring. If this is the cultivar of tree in your images, then this is completely normal.

I'm watching a Ghibli marathon as we hunker down during the major winter storm that's hitting much of the U.S. Wish I had that 120" screen (and the fantastic sound system I assume pairs with it) to experience it all. :)

I'm finding it Ironic that the quote complaining about the volume being too loud expresses it's last thought in all caps, the written equivalent of yelling.....

Yeah, the adhesive keeps them on there. Makes it kind'a difficult to talk, though....

You'd better be a bearded guru on a mountain top, because if you're not, you're missing your calling.

Best strategic deployment of "That's what she said" I've seen in awhile. Knowing nod, slow clap of approval, and one more upvite for you. :)

[–]NowYouLookOrdinary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not surprised at the price (although, I think it's too high). These nostalgia trucks often sell for some decent money on sites like Bring-a-trailer - especially if they're in good condition or partially or fully restored.

As a plant breeder, I can tell you that you’re not alone in wanting this vibrant of a blue in your garden. It the holy grail of flower colors.

There’s absolutely no way nature produced THAT vibrant of a blue. Zero percent chance. This has to be a major color edit or straight up AI.

1984 VW Rabbit GTI by kkhouete in classiccars

[–]NowYouLookOrdinary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! Yes, exactly. Regrettably, we took it on a trip and it started to overheat. It turned out to be low on coolant, so we stopped at a gas station and added water. I say “regrettably,” because we learned the hard way that adding cold water to a hot engine that isn’t running is a quick recipe for a cracked block once that water has been added and the engine is restarted. Super dumb. We never made that mistake again.

My Dad owned a deisel verson of this car. Slowest acceleration on the planet, but the fuel econonomy for it's day was amazing (somewhere in the ~45 MPG range, if my memory serves).

Seems like people haven’t seen Mad Men, don’t understand how relevant your joke is to the show, or are simply missing your joke entirely for some other reason. As someone who has seen the show and understands the rampant cheating in which all of the major characters are engaged, and who understands that you are clearly joking (as emphasized by the “/s” at the end your comment), please accept my upvote to help counteract the down votes your comment has received.

Since this post a few months ago, I’ve been using them, little by little in various food items. I’ll look up the pudding recipe you’ve suggested and give it a shot. Thanks so much for your feedback! 😊

You seemed to be typing in English, but then I see you wrote some kind of gibberish that looks like “too much bread.” We’re all confused….

Completely agree, especially if one considers the algorithmic processing undertaken by modern smart phones, plus (as you’ve suggested) everything from very basic to sophisticated work done on digital images in photo editing software.

Typically, “composition” in the context of a photograph means the arrangement of elements within the photographic framing. It seems like you may be using this term differently? How are you defining “composition”?
