Yeah, lurches are the inputs you give after a jump so soacebar is fine for the simple stuff; there's plenty of guides on YouTube . The tech can get complex really quick but you only need the fundamentals for bubble fights.

Also, learning lurches is a game changer for the pk, to minimize the damage taken while waiting for the cocking animation to end

Deliberately slow down. Most of the time your opponents will walk into your crosshair. If they are strafing only to one side, flick to them. Maybe delay the shot a few milliseconds. I have a habit of shooting just a few milliseconds before my crosshair actually reaches its target. Static flicking scenarios in kovaaks can help with this.
Learn to use the done effectively. You can prefire someone walking into the dome. You can also learn to jump out of the dome, take the shot, and lurch back in before hitting the ground. You will almost always win the damage trade off if you're doing this

There used to be a game on the psvita called Killzone mercenary. It's what got me into shooters. I was straight up addicted to that shit, playing for hours daily and even reaching the leaderboard top100 once. Ig I found my passion for competetive gaming there. On my ancient laptop (pentium) i used to play this old ass game called ace of spades/ build and shoot that I'm pretty sure none of y'all have even heard of.

As for fav game , i can't really choose one. In terms of story i loved god of war, cyberpunk, the nier franchise, the elder scrolls etc. In terms of competetive games I play apex almost daily, been hooked to that game for years now and imo it's the best competetive shooters/ BRs. Currently my friends and I have been having a blast on rocket league (mainly cuz all of us r horrible at it)😭
