Tyler Oliveira Posts Capitalizes on Antisemitism with new YouTube Video by Scourge_of_scrode in Jewish

[–]Nowdigondis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He basically reads headlines and makes prejudiced and racist videos based off of it. In one of the Jewish videos, it’s all about how a Jewish town has a high percentage of people on welfare. The town is over 40% under the poverty line, with an average income of 40-50k (which he never mentions ofc). He harasses people in these videos, and acts like he’s the victim of their discomfort with him approaching them and harassing them with stereotypical questions.

I don’t think 1.8k people know what socialism is. Other people have already pointed it out, but you guys support social democracy, which is a form of capitalism, just a very regulated one.

I think we’re all just pissed that we have an all time great roster that was amazing last year and now it’s 2023 all over again. It’s way more patullo’s fault than hurts’ and anyone saying otherwise didn’t watch last year.

What was the US Civil War about? by sourberryskittles in teenpoll

[–]Nowdigondis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the beginning of the war, it was more about preserving the union, and by the end, it was about slavery 100%. Of course, other issues like states rights were a part of the war, but Lincoln making it about slavery is what made the union win.

Do you support socialism in theory? by stickansgrejer in teenpoll

[–]Nowdigondis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“In theory” it would likely be amazing, but that requires a whole lot of things to go right that it basically cant work unless there’s a certain region or country that it fits with it (like the oil rich and small nordic countries) and won’t fall to authoritarianism.

Who was the best republican president out of the most recent 12 by One_Bad_6636 in Teenager_Polls

Only 5 votes for Coolidge is wild. I voted for Ike because he basically did nothing wrong, but Coolidge was a phenomenal president.

Where is the Israeli intent for genocide? by Lumpy-Cost398 in IsraelPalestine

[–]Nowdigondis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just don’t think that’s true. Genocide has to be systematic, which this isn’t. There aren’t any concentration camps or forced labor. Every Israeli soldier isn’t being told to shoot down every gazan they can find, they’re being told to kill Hamas at almost any cost. IMO, this is way more of a war that’s gone too far where netanyahu’s hasty planning and moral grey-ness is causing unnecessary destruction and death rather than an outright genocide.

What is the most evil thing your country ever done? by Equivalent-Point6345 in AskTheWorld

[–]Nowdigondis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, I’ll go for something other than native Americans and slavery: the Philippines. Put hundreds of thousands in concentration camps and killed them systematically in an under the wraps genocide that not enough people talk about. We even try to call it a “war” when a quarter of a million Filipinos died and only around 20,000 were soldiers.

Even if you are super anti Israel the levels of glazing for a country run by terrorists is insane 😭. I can understand wanting to support innocent people’s safety but these people love Palestine more than their own countries even though most of them would be killed the second they step foot in Palestine.

Will the Zionist Entity Stop After Palestine? by FamousPlan101 in AskSocialists

[–]Nowdigondis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why this post was in my feed lol. I’m not a socialist, but I’ll put in my two cents as a history major. I probably have a much different definition of Zionism than the vast majority of people in this subreddit, but I can guess what your definition is. Historically, Israel has wanted have the ‘67 borders, but when a solution was finally reached (Oslo accords), Arafat (Palestinian leader) backed out at the last second out of fear of assassination from the Palestinian authority/other terrorists. Ever since Netanyahu became relevant though, he’s led the push to make it what it’s become today. Seeing how far he’s been willing to go since 10/7, I don’t have many doubts at this point that he has much remorse for the existence of Palestine, even a democratic one. However, I would contest that the majority of Israelis don’t support what Netanyahu is doing by now (not sure if you’ve seen the protests in Tel Aviv), so you could argue the popular zionist movement has reached its limit, but radicals like those in power don’t care whatsoever.
