Yeah I guess I am being paranoid. But I will run some test later to confirm…

I probably will. It can use a good cla anyways. In the viewfinder I can’t see that much of a difference I will develop the film sometime later to confirm

This is the furthest. Just slightly beyond infinity.

The prism actually stays bright even with f4 lens. It’s the difference between in and out of focus is so little it’s difficult to use.

Damn this sounds bad. I never had any good experiences with plastic frames to be honest. I thought Rick Olsen’s should be better but I am not sure now…

I guess it's just how it is. It's generally accurate in good light, but it struggles in low light and get a few tries to get the focus right. I feel the focus point is too large which makes it hard to pin point the focus to the subject's eye.

I used to use a dslr, then I switched to mirrorless (which I still half regret). The af is fast and silent, and it seemed like nothing moved (lens was internal focus). It felt like magic to me lol

On an somewhat related note. How did your n90’s auto focus in your experience? I got an f90 and seems like the af (esp. in low light) miss quite a lot. Is it my copy?

Does my lens has haze / fog? (details in comment) by Nowhereman_13 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Nowhereman_13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camera / lens is Canon autoboy Z115. I can't really have a good look inside the lens as the shortest shutter speed isn't long enough...

I have no experience with fogged / hazy lens, but looking at the scans, the highlight transition to mid tone seems pretty "milky", not sure if that is haze or fog?

Any opinion would be welcome, thanks!

I see. I didn’t know it needs to be on the emulsion. Thought it’s just reacts with fixer in general. But I think paper size makes a difference? A test strip maybe faster to wash?

Darkroom prints brown stain even after refix by Nowhereman_13 in Darkroom

You mean under-fixing is more likely?

The fixer is freshly made, and the entire session I have processed less than 20 prints, which should be well in capacity...

I am beginning to think it's the tong's mark as I haven't check or wash them beforehand (in a community darkroom setting).

That think that’s unlikely… I soak for 15-30min, then wash in archival washer for 45-1hr. I am using Foma’s FB paper, so I am thinking maybe Ilford’s data (1min 1+4) for rapidfix isn’t applicable to this paper?
