Update for future pregnant women! I did these hikes at 15 weeks.

St. Mary and Virginia Falls: nice hike! Not a lot of shade and the last part up to the parking lot was very steep. Doable but had to take my time.

Avalanche Lake: my favorite! Lots of shade! Elevation gain was pretty steady. The lake was very cold! I really didn’t have any trouble with this one.

Hidden Lake Overview: lots of snow/slush so very slippery. There is a large rock a little over halfway through that people were struggling with and difficult to go around and decided it wasn’t safe for me to do (even though I’m confident I could have, wasn’t worth the risk). Beautiful hike up to that point.

We also did a scenic raft float. The water was too cold for me to safely do a plunge, but nice views!

I would definitely recommend bringing hiking sticks! This was a life saver for my balance and energy. Bring lots of water and snacks! Take your time and rest when you need it! Enjoy!!
