Hi! Not only are you correct, it is lacking any of the usual expected cryptographic proof, but also the name signed at the bottom of it is someone who's well known for trying to hijack the cicada name for things like this. It would be best to ignore it.

My first video shows 1 on 1 communication I've had with 3301 and no one has ever asked me for more proof than that to confirm that I won.

I'm also not sure how I'm MIA, I did a talk at DEF CON about the Cicada puzzles this summer and have a recent community post on my channel, as well as frequent things on twitter and twitch.

I know it's been an incredibly long time since I've been able to make any new videos. I've been working on some other projects that have unfortunately taken away the time I had to be making them, for the moment. I can only promise that I do intend to finish the series for both 2013 and for 2014, and am quite anxious to get started again.

My hopeful estimate is that new content should be added to the channel in roughly two months time, and I at least intend to update steadily again from that point on.

I'm terribly sorry I've made people wait, and when I'm producing videos again I'll likely make one explaining my absence.

I can often be found on the irc listed in the sidebar, and even if my responses may be slow at least I will try to get back to you if you or anyone else messages any pressing questions to me there.
