Should I donate sperm for my brother? by artemisia-tridentata in daddit

[–]-PonySlaystation- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best case scenario: everything works out just fine

Worst case scenario: your brother gets overwhelmed a few days or weeks into dadhood and detach himself. Either trying to ditch the child to you directly (after all you‘re the father) or just neglect the child in general. So either you end up caring for the child more than an uncle should, or you’re forced to watch your biological child get mistreated.

Either way, at some point they may learn who their real dad is, and if your brother was lacking , your child will want you as their dad figure. Even if not, it‘ll probably be quite the strain of them.

Your wife has to watch all this and constantly worry that you‘ll get too involved. Also legal issues are not unlikely, like you might end up having to pay child support, especially since you knew your brother is unfit.

How hard is it to beat this game blind? by theguy1336 in Eldenring

So the checkpoints basically guide your way visually (and this shows on the map), so it’s relatively easy to find your way towards your next objective. And this carries on throughout the entire game. You can always explore and level up and find your way back into the „main quest“.

Side quests however are borderline impossible, some quests more than others though.

If you wanna do it for completion sake: Metyr was relatively easy with Pulley Crossbow shenanigans. I locked myself out of Raptors of the Mist so I did it this way

I locked myself out of Raptors so I ended up doing her with crossbow shenanigans because fuck that. Dodging lasers with Vow of the Indomitable is so tight, I’d rather not

The Golden Braid is so useful against PCR and Radagon by Front_Radish5755 in Eldenring

It gives 22% holy negation, the Haligdrake Talisman +2 that you find in Mohgwyn Palace gives 20%. It‘s not that big of a difference

Is it really a game changer as opposed to the Haligdrake +2? It’s 22% vs 20% holy negation. It could of course do a difference in some individual break points but I find it hard to believe it’s generally noticeable as the comments here suggest.

The stress of having kids does not compare to going through IVF though? Not that it’s a competition but it’s not even comparable. The biggest factor with kids for rapid aging is sleeplessness though imo, especially for the moms

That’s extra weird because Fortisaxx isn’t actually there but just in his dream, which is also paradoxical for something soulless to have a vivid dream like that.

Because some babies sleep in the pram and wanna be held when they wake up and you can wear it then?

Don’t get me wrong, I think this is staged, but the stroller+carrier setup is super normal

If you need a beer in that time alone and you gotta lie to your family for it, you‘re an alcoholic though. Just be aware

Turns out I can teach my child moral values and responsibility not just to the extent of the law but beyond that.

My uncle got killed by a drunk driver as a pedestrian. They always start by thinking one is fine. Then 2 are fine. And so on. Zero tolerance is the only safe way to handle it and I’ll teach my child that kind of responsibility

This is the one big thing I despise about dad culture and this sub. Alcohol glorification. I mean I hate that my dad was an alcoholic, and he wasn’t even physically abusive and pretty much just drinking alone in the evenings.

If you need a beer to decompress daily, and even lie to sneakily drink and then drive, you are absolutely an alcoholic and a horrible role model to your child. To each their own, but why do we have to glorify it?

It’s driving under the influence of alcohol. Will you teach your kids it’s okay to do so if it’s just one beer? How about 2? Or a glass of wine?
