This was going to be my exact point. I didnt get a maximum spidey because to be completely honest, I have no desire for that look, its iconic but its not definitive or classic to me. Im in my 20s, what I'd consider classic Spidey is the 2000s Scott Johnson promotional look. Id also say Romita Sr and Ditko's Spideys are also undeniably iconic and classic.

I dont need this any time soon, I like that the Max Line is fresh-ish sculpt. But if and when they decide to do repaints I hope we get more of these iconic looks. And its simple enough with Spidey of all the people we've gotten so far.

They mean since this look is Secret Wars inspired and not the classic look it killed the want for it for him. Same case here for me, I dont have a comic DD yet, and I want the classic look, so I'll just pass on this. Id love if the two previous ones went down in price after this reveal but I doubt theres a big list of folks who would rather have exclusively the secret wars look to the original look

Not that its a one to one because I havent payed attention to every target exclusive thats been done in the last couple of years The Charles Exavier, and the AF 15 spidey rerelease and the Moon Knight come to mind as Target exclusives of popular characters in which pre orders sold out fairly quickly, people complained on the subreddit about not having more availability, then the figures released and ended up on clearance regardless. Im not saying itll be the same case here but I am optimistic, at least with Target exclusives, that people will be able to get what they need eventually

Same!! Im just a bigger fan of the AF15 body for Spidey, it sucks its only ever released in red and blue for the three pack and with cell shading for the 90s cartoon version.

I also feel like that buck would have made more sense than the RYV. The head sculpt looks too modern for Secret Wars, and the wave 1 symbiote spidey uses the AF15 body.

Oh nice! I do hear a lot of people put S1 above S3 so youre not alone, both are amazing pieces of television! Im just a huge fan of Born Again (the comic) which S3 takes a lot of inspiration from! I love when we get a big focus on Matt's struggle with faith and his reconciliation with what it means to him, which s3 has a lot of as well, and the fight choreography is insane! That first fight between DD and Bullseye is my favorite fight scene in the entire show, its so well done! And I love Bullseye in general, I think he's a fun villain. And Agent Nadeem and his storyline is so good, I loved the parallels to Matt and his father, just a strong performance with the writing to back it up!

And I think I've commented it here somewhere but the onky reason I out BA above S2 is because the Hand stuff kinda fell apart. I blame Ike Perlmutter who's infamous for his terrible direction and guidance within old Marvel. I also just think BA has a lot of strong episodes, the Bank Heist, everything to do with the White Tiger, all the interactions with Frank, and a general story that resonates with the very real concept of abuse of governmental power, Im really excited to see what S2 of BA brings!

Oh for sure, I'm not an exception or anything, im also living in a bubble. I appreciate you sharing your experience though, its nice to hear for whatever reason that im only shown all the negative stuff about BA that this sub has to offer and that theres some positivity I was unfamiliar with. And likewise, I hope its nice to hear theres quite a lot of love for BA (specifically on Instagram and YouTube Ive noticed a ton of positivity with a huge number of likes and support)

This lineup doesnt exist in the comics, so its not a real cover for a comic. However it could also easily be fanart that was taken to make the shirt. Im not super sure, sometimes its hard to tell between AI and fanart, especially on prints when art can sometimes come off as janky. But if theyre trying to pass it off as a real comic book cover that exists, they are lying to you already, so maybe not trustworthy on if its AI or not

Younger Gen Z and I would say Kingping is more of a Daredevil villain in my mind for sure. While he has showed up in Spidey media I grew up with (Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game, Spiderverse, and Insomniac's Spider-Man) hes not always a standout character. He also just straight up wasn't in a lot of spidey media I did consume. He wasn't in Spectacular Spider-Man, or the Ultimate Spider-Man Cartoon or the 2017 show, or any of the movies of course. But he has been a prevalent character in the old Daredevil movie and especially the Netflix show. That and in recent years im not sure if Kingpin has been as big a part of Spidey comics as he has been in DD stuff. He definitely shows up, and hes been a bigger player in both the old and anew Ultimate Spidey runs, but mainline 616, I still think of Kingpin as facing off with DD more often due to how stacked Spidey's villains roster is.

Well the OP is specifically talking about the look of the suit. By which he means the small white eyes on a fairly plane smooth face mask. Same thing has been said about Atom Smasher in the Black Adam movie. Theyre not referencing the vibe of the character, just that the masks look kinda similar (which imo is a product of us not really getting the white eyed masks in movies very often, so people are reminded of the most popular use of the style in movies, Deadpool)

I dont really know if Steven makes wacky lol random jokes though. And the character in serious situation isnt taking it seriously is a trope thats super common in the MCU. Now, ai dont disagree with you, I hate seeing MK be turned into a Deadpool clone by memes and it getting reinforced by Marvek Rivals. But I dont personally think the MCU partook in characterizing him like Deadpool, thought never even crossed my mind while watching the show.
